Used to love this place and used to go to trivia every tuesday. Two people on my trivia team are vegetarian. They keep changing their menu so it will go from having vegetarian options to no vegetarian options so the team has to find somewhere else to go for the months of the year they decide to have no options.
Definitely an underrated bar in southie. Love coming here for some good food and drinks that are priced well. They have great specials throughout the week. Workers are super nice and I’ve only experienced great service so far. Outdoor space is nice during the summer which is a huge plus especially being so near the beach!
Very unfortunate that this is the only bar on the east side of South Boston. All of the food is sub par and the atmosphere is a bit odd. As someone who lives in the area and has for 3 years, I wish they'd put more effort into their food.
Most underrated spot in southie. The food is above average, Chris the bartender is outstanding and it is always a good, up-beat atmosphere. The prices of food and drinks can’t be beat in Boston. It’s nice to see a place not price gauge
I go here for the trivia nights it's a pretty good time
Drinks were good. Owners were helpful and friendly. Great place.
A well thought through menu, wrapped in consistently great food at a reasonable price makes for a gem of a S Boston spot.
Not the best service but good food. Brunch burger and apple cinnamon French toast specifically were very good.
Delicious food, excellent service, and a memorable family gathering. Every dish was flavorful and enjoyable—we loved every moment!
Made a note in reservation that we there for a birthday but no acknowledgment from anyone. Server seemed potentially intoxicated, dancing, twerking, and simply difficult to find. Had to flag him down and went to bar ourselves to get water refills. Food was very good. Atmosphere is loud and almost “clubby”. Used to be a cool neighborhood spot... seems to have gone downhill.

The local 149 is our local spot and we go at least once a week. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad service. All their sandwiches are amazing. I think they have some of the best boneless buffalo tenders around also.

Local 149 replaced a Southie classic known as, “The Farragut House.” Therefore this new restaurant is a more modern, family version of a Southie diner. Local does a nice job upholding the legacy of this iconic location, but they could take a bit more pride in their work on the floor by showing exceptional service and offer more food and coffee options for those who do not meet the traditional identity of a Southie resident in 2024. Thanks for having us; we had a nice time overall.
Stopped off here specifically to try the fried fluffernutter, so this is really more of just a review of that. In my opinion, it was good, but not really anything special or anything worth of making a specific point to try/get (like I did). Still, I enjoyed it, and the price was reasonable given the size of it (I got quite a bit of fluffernutter), so I'd give it 4 stars overall.

We were overcharged for a drink on two occasions. We will be slow to go back. We might have become loyal customers otherwise.

What a great spot. Bringing the sports bar atmosphere to City Point.
