Difficult parking, slow service, an oyster made me immediately sick and they forgot the dipping sauce for our very expensive small amount of taquitos. I would not go back.

Just had to share some love for our recent outing to Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar because it seriously impressed us. The vibe of the place is just right – super chill and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you step in.But what really made our visit unforgettable was the incredible service. Our server was the epitome of friendly, going above and beyond in a way we didn’t expect. The standout moment? She noticed our pup with us outside and without missing a beat, ran out to offer a treat to our four-legged buddy. It was such a thoughtful gesture that really showed their commitment to making everyone feel welcome – pets included. It’s not just a place to go; it’s an experience, especially if you appreciate those little acts of kindness that make you smile. Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar has won us over, and we’re already excited for our next visit. If you want a spot that’s all about good vibes and great service, this is it.

I was not hungry when I came here with my sister. But the service was amazing and the food?! Wow. Totally recommend el taco al pastor, perfectly spicy. I almost complained about the lack of pineapple until I was offered a side of pineapple con ajo. Oysters were amazingly and I definitely recommend coming here during the day like at 3pm.

I can't think of a better combination than oysters and tacos. Two of my favorite nourishments. Though I had neither. My girlfriend raved about the smashburger and fries at Loco's Taqueria & Oyster Bar in Fenway. For an appetizer we had the Salsa Trio. Which was nachos with the exact same seasoning as what they put on Doritos, ( the red bag, not the blue ). And three dips. One of house made salsa, another of salsa Verde, and the third was a poblano crema. It's was great. Especially the lime infused poblano crema. But the burger was otherworldly. I haven't had a burger that good since Craigie on Main closed. It came with two smashed patties, American cheese, mojo aioli, grilled onions, and was served with loco fries which had the same Dorito seasoning on them. Perfection. Note: only the Fenway Loco has the smash burger. The Southie Loco doesn't have it on their menu. For shame.

Will was so amazing. He tended to my crazy family and was willing to make accommodations for everything, he did it with a smile on his face. he was so welcoming and educated us on the menu and made the experience so fun.

Favorite bar in southie. Mostly because Chris, the bartender, is so friendly every time. Food never disappoints.

I went to Loco with my daughter and for starters, the place was noisy. The guacamole was puréed. My daughter ordered the elotes and it didn't have Tajin like it is supposed to,but it had too much red pepper flakes which made it too spicy. I ordered the crispy carnitas tacos, horrible. My daughter ordered the rice bowl wasn't good. We payed $92.00 for crappy food. Was looking to have a nice night with my daughter wish we went somewhere else. Disappointed.

Birria chicken taquitos were really good the birria tacos were good, shrimp taco was good. Tried a specialty Margarita for Margarita day,"let's go party- it was ok and tried a mango Margarita and it was gross. The tequila they used had a smokey flavor at the end and it really threw the flavor off. I had to ask for more mango juice in my drunk bc it was so hard to drink. All in all I would return, I'll just be careful about the drinks I get. Probably no more margaritas for me. The food is def good. Bartenders were nice and pretty fast w service. The place is nice inside. I wasn't able to get. Atable but got lucky with a spot at the bar. Parking is super hard. I parked Luke 2 blocks away. Maybe a lil more. We got there like 5pm ish on a Thursday.

Highly recommend making reservations! Tacos were delicious! The atmosphere was a little louder than I like. The space was crowded.. I believe it hit max capacity while we were there.Tacos were great.. I had the Al pastor, brisket and short ribs. The Al pastor was delicious and spicy - just the way I like it. The short ribs were great! The brisket was fatty… I wouldn’t do it again.Overall - I was satisfied.

We went there during their happy hour time and osyters are very fresh and taste really good Overall I think the food is good, but the service is kind of messy. I understand it is busy, but the servers passed by our table and ignore our request (we want to order more food and drinks!) I think I probably will go back for happy hour again
