Great food and vibes all week long - one of the best places to go to and enjoy with your friends or some business partners to get a drink and enjoy some music and good food

Booked a reservation for my birthday. Was seated in between two tables on the booth side which felt very squeezed into and made me feel claustrophobic. The server gave us a hard time for requesting jalapeños as an added garnish to our already spicy cocktails, we were told it was absolutely not possible, just to have our drinks arrive with jalapeños in them. Server kept rushing my table since the restaurant was jam packed, wanting to get the next person in. Very uncomfortable and disappointed since I’d been eyeing this place since forever now.

The food, drinks, location, ambiance, and service were superb. Nestled just a block from Copley place, Lolita was an easy walk from local hotels. The decor, lighting, and music were refreshing and unique. We were greeted with complimentary shaved ice as a pallet cleanser, and everything we tried was delicious. All of the drinks we tried (margaritas and sangrias) were perfectly balanced. Our server gave excellent food and drink recommendations and was personable and attentive. We ordered the guac trio, which was delicious. We also ordered three different tacos and were very impressed. Lolita concluded the meal with complimentary cotton candy, which was a charming touch. Money very well spent.

My only disappointment is that we don’t have this restaurant back in our hometown!

Food is good but not spectacular like everyone says. The steak tacos were decent but have had better. A little overpriced for what it is and the size of the taco. Drinks were good and service was great. Overall, worth a try, but overpriced and not spectacular in terms of taste.

My husband and I went here on our wedding night for dinner. Truly an amazing experience. The atmosphere, service and food was out of this world. We loved the dark theme and decor inside. Thank you for an incredible evening!

Couldn't get a table. Waited in the lobby on the waiting list for an hour before giving up. It looked cool inside though.

We had a reservation for 5pm yesterday. We went to the restaurant and they said there was something wrong with the building. Mind you, you could have let us know beforehand. We show up to our reservation on time, and you say we can’t be seated because of the building. Not only we not know what’s wrong with the building (since there were a lot of people inside the restaurant, having food), we also were taken aback by how comfortably they could say that they can’t let us in. I’m so frustrated by the fact that there were people inside but we weren’t let in, and how rude they were to people who are just trying to get seated when they had a reservation.

The food was very good and the place is nice, but the experience was completely ruined by the behavior of the security staff.

After having eaten and paid our bill, we tried to use the restroom and the security guard denied us access in a very rude manner, demanding identification even though there was no visible policy and nothing like this was mentioned when we entered the restaurant.

His attitude was aggressive, he used inappropriate language, and unnecessarily escalated the situation to the point of calling the police, which was completely disproportionate and extremely uncomfortable.

It is unacceptable for a paying customer to be treated this way. The food may be good, but treatment like this ruins the entire experience. I sincerely hope the restaurant seriously reviews the conduct of its security staff.

We spent a chilly November day in Boston’s Back Bay and a warm Mexican inspired dinner at Lolita was exactly what we needed to warm us up! We have never eaten at Lolita’s prior to this visit but the family members we were with did a few times and we knew they would not steer us wrong! We started with two margaritas and another adult beverage, chips and guacamole plus the calamari! While waiting for our drinks and appetizers they brought over gratis a palate cleanser to start us off, a pineapple and grapefruit granita over dried ice; solid start for sure. For entrees we ordered a few styles of tacos, a quesadilla, a veggie salad and a chicken dish. We ate it all! Please note the main entrees can be on the small side (i.e., two tacos per order and a smaller end quesadilla) so were glad we ordered a few appetizers. Shortly after dinner they brought over another treat, freshly made cotton candy wrapped around a tall beer glass. It was consumed quite quickly! We are often in Boston’s Back Bay so it is safe to say we’ll be visiting again in the future.
