We spent a chilly November day in Boston’s Back Bay and a warm Mexican inspired dinner at Lolita was exactly what we needed to warm us up! We have never eaten at Lolita’s prior to this visit but the family members we were with did a few times and we knew they would not steer us wrong! We started with two margaritas and another adult beverage, chips and guacamole plus the calamari! While waiting for our drinks and appetizers they brought over gratis a palate cleanser to start us off, a pineapple and grapefruit granita over dried ice; solid start for sure. For entrees we ordered a few styles of tacos, a quesadilla, a veggie salad and a chicken dish. We ate it all! Please note the main entrees can be on the small side (i.e., two tacos per order and a smaller end quesadilla) so were glad we ordered a few appetizers. Shortly after dinner they brought over another treat, freshly made cotton candy wrapped around a tall beer glass. It was consumed quite quickly! We are often in Boston’s Back Bay so it is safe to say we’ll be visiting again in the future.

Food was good but portion was small. Service was slow and server was not having a good day it seemed but we made the best of it.

‼️Service is extremely AWFUL‼️
I've been to this place at least three times before and this time I came midnight on a Friday night. There were no cocktail waitress coming to take orders from the tables. Besides that, I was waiting at the bar for orders with my card out ready to pay. However, I was ignored the entire time. The bartenders were chitchatting and took everyone else's order who came after me except for acknowledging me. Will NOT recommend visiting again if you value service as part of your experience!

This was our second time back after 8 years. We had fabulous service, food, and a cool atmosphere. We were catching up with friends and were grateful to not be rushed during our visit. We will be back again! Side note, we had a reservation and were visiting on a Thursday night. We were also asked if there were dietary restrictions prior to ordering which was great.

Delicious Mexican-inspired food.

It is very loud and dark in the dining room.

Two bad drinks, one bad salad, miniscule fish tacos, apathetic service. Avoid.

Value is questionable. Its a really nice place on the inside. Very low lit and dark. The plates are extremely small. It was $20 for two small tacos. The carne assada was an extremely small cut of beef. I tried both. The tacos were ok. The Assada was really good, but barely anything on the plate.

Had the rice bowl and would definitely do it again. Very tasty but not spicy. Had lunch so can’t comment on cocktails.

Nice spot but leaving one star review bc they don’t carry a single NA beer. Seriously get with the program Lolita !

Showed up at 12:30 for one drink… told to leave. They “close” at 1. If you don’t want to serve at 12:30, change your hours of operation!!!!!

Online it says they’re open until 1 AM, but they stop serving after midnight. The bartenders clearly didn’t care and just wanted to close early not good for business.
