My husband and I ordered two lasagnas which came out literally cold, the flavor was okay. My son ordered a different dish but said it was good but not as good as what he orders at the Italian places in Texas. I’ve eaten there two other times and it was good so I was excited to have my son and husband try it. Huge disappointment this time. They did warm it up but it was still cool on the inside.

I have to be honest, everyone, I mean everyone was talking about this spot. It's nice and the service was good, but... it was cold AF. Teeth chattering "keep your jacket on the whole time" cold.
-chicken parm 7/10 (sauce resembled tomoto soup more than marinara)
-Stuffed mushrooms 0/10
the mushrooms had no flavor and were stufed with pure breadcrumbs. no exaduration. just powder.
They were very nice though. I gave 4 stars instead of 3 cause the try hard.
But i have to keep it real for my viewers

Title: Rushed, Rude, and Unprofessional
My experience at L’Osteria was disappointing from the start. The hostess didn’t lead us to our table—just pointed and told us to go left. She tossed menus onto our table while setting them nicely for others, making us feel like an inconvenience.
Service felt rushed, and they couldn’t even split a check for more than four people, despite having tables for five. To top it off, I later found an extra $6 added to the tip without my consent—completely unacceptable.
Their habit of arguing with unhappy customers instead of addressing issues is unprofessional. Avoid this place—there are much better options.
Also added in a picture of the updated charge since they are so insistent on their customers being liars ❤️

I was really looking forward to dining at L’Osteria, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. From the moment we sat down, the service felt rushed and inattentive. Menus were unceremoniously tossed onto our table, setting a tone that did not reflect the warm hospitality one would expect from an Italian restaurant.
Additionally, I was quite surprised by their payment policy—apparently, they can only split a bill between four people. This seems completely impractical for larger groups, and I can’t imagine how they would accommodate a party of ten. In today’s dining scene, where group outings are common, this restriction felt unnecessarily inconvenient.
Throughout our meal, the service remained lackluster. Our group was largely ignored, and it often felt like getting the staff’s attention was a challenge. Overall, while the food may have been enjoyable, the service and payment policy left much to be desired. I hope the restaurant reconsiders these aspects, as they significantly impact the overall dining experience.

I just want to warn anyone who was thinking of visiting this place! My visit to L'Osteria in Boston with a group of five was disappointing. Right off the bat, the hostess barely acknowledged us, just saying, “go down to the left,” instead of walking us to our table which wasn’t such a good start to the evening.
Also, A waitress who wasn’t serving us kept staring, creating an uncomfortable vibe. And to top it off, the restaurant only splits checks into four unless you ask beforehand—something we weren’t told, which caused confusion at the end of the night.
As we left and wished the same waitress a good night, she ignored all five of us. The next day, we noticed an extra $6 tip per person was added without our knowledge. Regardless of whether this is legal or not, we should have been informed.
Between the cold service, odd atmosphere, and surprise charges, I’d recommend caution before you choose to dine at the L’osteria, thank you.

Food was good! We had the lobster ravioli and shrimp scampi. It was tasty but I wouldn’t say it was anything mind blowing.

The food was great and the live music was unique. The only thing that made it uncomfortable was the performers walking around to every table and sharing a link to tip and follow them on social media. Maybe this is okay to put on the wall as you exit in the form of a tip jar and QR code, but not as a personal visit to the table at which I simply wanted to have a dinner with a friend. Made it weird.

There was a strong smell of a restroom in the main hall. We were greeted by a very rude woman who didn’t even let me finish my question. She simply said everything was by reservation, even though there were plenty of empty tables. She seated us in the center of the hall. We were very disappointed with the service, atmosphere, and smell
This explains all. Lobster ravioli didn’t taste fresh at all (very fishy)

We went down to the north end on Sunday night for a nice family meal meeting local family from Quincy who we hadn't seen in a long while. The hostess was fantastic helping us get the large round table where one waitress had been sitting. I have never had a more rude waitress in my life. She was short, curt and impatient. She slammed plates down and never once smiled or said anything nice. We couldn't wait to leave. Her name was Joanne and I would recommend if you have her as your waitress to get up and leave immediately. Food was great, but unfortunately ruined by Joanne.

Wife wanted pasta so we were able to just pop in here.
I was honestly hoping for a bit better tasting food. Pasta fagioli was watery as was my chicken franchise. Wife has pasta bolognese and it too seemed watery. Maybe that’s their style. ??♂️

Greeted by a very nice host who reminded me of my late nana. She immediately greeted me and gave my date and I a great table, which I really appreciated (especially since I was a walk in on a busy Friday). She was so kind and hospitable. It was a real gem to hear live music while eating. Calamari was not my favorite but wasn’t terrible. The soups and shrimp cacciatore as Always were amazing . I’ve been coming here since a little kid and will continue to come back. Emmanuel was also a class a gentleman and it was very personable to have him as our waiter.

We were visiting Boston and friends told us we must go to this restaurant. Our service was extremely slow. My partner wanted a dark beer, but was disappointed there weren't any. It was a cold night, so I started with a cappuccino, which was excellent. They were out of gnocci, so I had eggplant parm. The food was ok, but my partner's lasagna was overcooked on the bottom, the noodles were hard. I decided to split a chocolate martini with a friend. The presentation in a red wine glass and it tasted like chocolate milk with vodka added.
