Its disgusting granted the fries in the shrimp combo all 15 if them were crispy. But the shrimp. All it is, is tiny pellets of dried up batter. I tried to break open to see shrimp could not. Just absolutely disgusting. Even if i was starving i would never go back. Who ears this crap???

Having had Bojangles fried chicken in the south (the best!), we were searching for good fried chicken for a special event and taste tested candidates from a number of restaurants in the Boston area. Hands down, the spicy fried chicken at Popeyes was the best! It was flavorful, not greasy, and quite affordable. Even though the Roxbury location was a bit hard to find for someone not familiar with the area, the manager and other staff were extremely helpful. Everyone at our event raved about the fried chicken.

This was our first time eating at Popeyes, OMG, it's so good. This location is small, a bit messy in the seating area. We order the spicy chicken, the server stood before us and asked which pieces we liked/wanted, it wasn't greasy, the biscuits were like little mini clouds, and the Mac and cheese, oh yum......the fried were only okay. I would definitely recommend Popeyes.

There's no question that Popeyes chicken is far superior to KFC. The product is never greasy and the chicken is fried quite frequently throughout the day. The problems begin if you fail to watch and communicate with your server. I recently ordered a 16 piece family pack. This pack is supposed to consist of 4 pieces each of breast,leg,thigh and wing. I had ordered the chicken to take home and when I opened the box; I was horrified to find about 6 wings, 6 thighs, and 6 legs......not a single breast! I called the restaurant and honestly received no satisfaction - the manager telling me that it was my responsibility to inform the server which pieces I had wanted. This is completely absurd..... Just try to say you want 16 breasts and see what happens! Lesson now learned.... Yes; Popeyes on Martin Luther King Blvd. has great chicken... Just make sure you pay attention to what they are putting in the box.
