Our first time here and it was somewhat disappointing. The service was great. The atmosphere was good. The French onion soup was very good as well as the cabbage eggrolls. Unfortunately, the corned beef sandwich (Ruben) was the worst I ever had. Nothing in it, and the bread was dried like it came out of a toaster. When they explain this to the waitress, she apologize, but that was it.. With so many great restaurants in the city of Boston, we will not be returning here ever again .

If you want the feeling of an Irish Pub through an American lense this is that place. Also, this place seems to draw Michigan fans (as UofM was playing in March Madness) be warned Buckeye fans.

fun and lively atmosphere. good cocktail choices- the strawberry aperol spritz was crisp and refreshing! the chicken buffalo dip was a standout. Southwestern chicken salad also crisp and chicken was well seasoned. Fun place to go before hitting the theatre!

Great place for casual tavern style food, but kicked up a notch. You can't decide what you want to eat then come here there's plenty of choices.

This was our second visit, so obviously we like it. I want to offer a shout-out to our server (Regan?). She detected our unspoken discomfort with the noise level which was louder than previous visits and perhaps louder than expected for the pub staff so early on a Monday evening. She offered to open up a quieter area for us and it was perfect. All other aspects of service were at the high level we expected but she went out of her way to make us comfortable.

A larger, expansive Irish bar in Boston in the nice park plaza area. This is THE bar for Michigan Football games and note that at least the front half of the bar will be packed for game days. Awesome environment. Food is good, perhaps slightly overpriced. Plenty of good beers on tap and great Guinness.

Took my dad and husband here after visiting the Titanic exhibition yesterday. Food was horrible low quality and service was slow. Atmosphere was extremely loud and could not carry a conversation. Would not recommend for anyone who is looking to bring family there.

I have worked and lived near MJ Oconnors for a long time. So may spots are walking distance but the staff, food and crowd here are on a different level. Its unfair to name a few of them as they are all great but ive worked in all the hotels and they are all great people here.
Late night beer is best here. Very friendly locals and staff

Upon entering the restaurant, we were basically accosted by a man who was likely the manager. He thrust a garbage can in our faces, aggressively demanding we throw our sparkling waters we’d just dispensed from our hotel lobby away, accusing my group of smuggling in vodka. I was stunned & would have walked out had my group not been excessively hungry from traveling. The hostess was humiliated by the rudeness of her boss. Our waitress was nice & the clam chowder & BLAT sandwich were delish. I ordered a mocktail since I don’t drink & the bartender mistakenly made an alcoholic drink. He apologized profusely, promptly made what I ordered & comped my drink so all was fine there. Other than the astoundingly rude manager, our visit here was good.
