Top to bottom, the dinner was spectacular. Fab food and good energy in the room with excellent non-pretentious, knowledgeable service. The bartender knew how to make a great Vesper; the baked oysters may have been the best thing I’ve eaten so far this year, and my boyfriend was swooning over the beef with foie gras - including the fresh little Brussels on the side. We may come back to Boston from NJ just dinner again.

Such a beautiful, quaint, elegant spot. Hidden gem. It’s such a romantic-style restaurant, so warm and cozy. Perfect atmosphere/ambiance. Our waiter was so attentive. We had the best table in a private little spot with a window and a gorgeous view. Felt like out of a movie. It was such a stunning touch to the whole experience! It is by far my favorite restaurant in the North End⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a treat! Went to dinner for our anniversary and they went above and beyond.
First off, the service was wonderful. We were given one of the best seats in the house along the front second story window with great views. My husband had a seamless time coordinating custom flowers for our table with an external florist. Our waiter was so kind and attentive. Everyone was so sweet and not pretentious even in the slightest.
Second, the food! Everything was DIVINE. From appetizers to dessert each dish was unique, flavorful and wonderful. We started with several starters of which the lobster bisque was a highlight and such a nice derivative from traditional bisques I’ve had. For a main I went with the Osso Buco and blown away - so tender and delicious.
If you’re looking for a classic upscale dining experience either for a special occasion or every day outing I highly recommend Mamma Maria. Such a precious classic north end establishment.

Fine dining experience at a Italian restaurant converted from a very old residential building. The food is excellent quality. The menu changes daily with mostly focused on seafood. The service is even better. Hard to find a table on the same day. Book well in advance. The front desk (Crystal), bartenders (Herman, Alex) and servers (Michael et al) are real pros with outstanding customer service skills. Overall fabulous dining experience!
