This was an anniversary date, we had an incredible time, the food was spectacular, valet service, Enrique welcomed us again, he is the best host, but this time we were served by another person (sorry I don't remember his name, but he told us he was from North Macedonia) anyway, his service was excellent.

Easy walk from the T, through the bustling North End on a Friday night. We were 20 minutes early and they sat us immediately at a beautiful table looking out onto the square. The staff was good and maybe a little slow, but recommended great things including the special, a veal with homemade raviolis. Mozzarella with stone fruit was amazing and light as the antipasti. A great dinner.

Excellent food and service. Classy spot for just about any occasion from first date night or work dinner.

We ate at the bar and two bartenders were very engaging. The food and service were fantastic. Mama Maria definitely lived up to its reputation.

This was a magical experience that transported us right back to Italy! The service was outstanding and the food was even better!!!

The food was delicious. The waitress was one of the best waitresses we have ever had. I wish I remembered her name but she's Romanian.

My husband loved the Osso Buco The fresh bread with pesto was my favorite (and I don't usually eat the bread)

We had reservations for 4 people and were seated immediately. Our server Emer was an absolute delight! Took the time to get our names and remember them! The view from our table was so nice! We ordered the Tuna Cannoli and Burrata and Rock Fruit for appetizers and they were both delicious. The complimentary bread with pesto and olives was so good! I could drink the pesto! We ordered Lobster Agnolotti and Crabmeat and Clams pasta. Both dishes were amazing. The fresh pasta was cooked perfectly. Lots of lobster and seasonings in the agnolotti. The clams were sweet and tender. Would definitely get both of those dishes again! All in all a wonderful experience!

Great food and service. Very crowded and very loud. It was quite difficult to carry on a conversation

I always enjoy a visit to Mamma Maria. Even on a crowded Saturday evening, the staff operates efficiently and is able to make every guest feel like they are welcome and an honored guest. I am not much of a fan of most red sauce North End restaurants, but Mamma Maria is definitely a cut above (certainly with the type and quality of food) and I always look forward to a visit there - so happy to have a reason to walk over the the North End. Thank you!!

This was the best food I have ever had! I would recommend this place to anyone I knew coming to Boston. The ravioli were phenomenal and the beef was excellent. Seriously can't wait to come back and eat here again

Had a wonderful 60th birthday celebration for my husband, Mamma Maria did not disappoint! Anderson, our server, crushed it!

“A rainy Boston night, lamb three ways, and amazing service at Mamma Maria!”

My husband surprised me with a reservation here because he knows how much I love lamb — and their lamb three ways dish caught his eye. We flew in that evening and arrived about an hour early to check the place out. The outdoor seating is lovely and gave me a bit of a European vibe, almost like being in France.

We wandered the neighborhood before heading back for our reservation at 7 PM. I hadn’t checked the weather that evening (for once!) and only knew it would be warm. The host asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. I picked outside, and he did mention possible rain but didn’t make a fuss — he happily seated us on the patio.

My husband ordered the lobster agnolotti while I went straight for the lamb three ways, medium. They brought out bread with pesto and olives, but I skipped it to save room. Just as our entrees were about to arrive, we started to feel a few raindrops. Our waiter noticed right away and offered us spots inside or under cover. We ended up moving to another patio table under a big umbrella, which worked perfectly.

The lamb dish was a bit mixed for me. The lamb ravioli was delicious — I’d order a full plate of that alone! The grilled lamb chop and bone-in loin were on the dry side for my taste, but the sauce on the plate helped. I did really like the tricolor carrots on the side.

What really stood out was how kind and attentive the staff were — they handled the sudden rain so smoothly and made sure we were comfortable. Even with the drizzle, sitting outside made the night feel special.

Overall, I loved the atmosphere and service, even if the lamb wasn’t entirely my thing. Worth checking out if you’re in Boston’s North End!
