We went to Mare for my wife's birthday. We all enjoyed our meals. We had the seafood tower to start. Lots of oysters but lacking in shrimp. The lobster and crab was very fresh. Our meals were the lobster ravioli, squid Ink pasta and clam sauce, filet, and mushroom pasta. We all felt that the food was good, service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice but the highway noise takes a bit away from the vibe. It was our first time at Mare, after hearing great things about it. The tricky part was finding it, because it isn't a store front on Hanover street, it's in an alley. When walking you can easily see the sign, but when driving, with the amount of people walking about, we missed it. I keep coming back to Mare because it's just that good. Easily my favorite seafood place in the city. The vibe is great, the staff is super friendly, and the service is always on point. It's one of those spots where you feel taken care of every time.
