Good and solid flavor but the place smells awful 😢…. It has a strong smell like sewage and it gave me a sense of dirtiness.
The food is good, nothing extraordinary. But the place is terrible — bad appearance, sticky floor, dirty tables, and a horrible smell (like insecticide). I’d give it one star, but because of the taste of the food, I’m giving it a couple.
This place is worth it weight in gold. I had chipotle chicken tacos. The chicken was flavoursome and was balanced with the sour cream and the freshness of freshly cut tomatoes. I can't wait to return to Boston and have these tacos again.
Small little place with big heart and delicious food! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone in our family enjoyed their meal. Queso was particularly tasty!
Hole In The Wall and Best Of Boston... you won't go wrong! Authentic food, plentiful servings. If I didn't know better I'd think Abuelita was in the back with a kitchen towel over her shoulder. High Recommendation..

The chipotle chicken is excellent every time. They've got a huge burrito for only $10
INCREDIBLE PRICES for INCREDIBLE FOOD. Kind staff, open late, and hands down the best burrito you can get in such a busy/expensive part of Boston. Much love to you guys <3

We were visiting in the area and wanted tacos. Though it didn't look very promising from the outside, we decided to trust the reviews and stop into Maria's Taqueria. It looks and feels like one of those hole-in-the-wall places that no tourist ever walks into.
That said, tourists probably should be stopping in. Everything we got was delicious - carnitas tacos, rice and bean tacos, chips and guac, cashew juice, and lemonade. The carnitas were greasy in all of the best ways, and were fantastic. The cashew juice was weird, but was good for what it was. My wife loved the rice and beans tacos.
Prices were good and service was fast. This was a great last minute dinner decision.

The food was great and delicious I order the chimichanga. The qeuso was fresh as well as the chips. Service was quick and fast. My fave is the horchata!

Hole-in-the-wall taqueria with solid burritos and birria tacos.
There’s not much to add about this place. Solid Mexican food at reasonable prices. With El Jefe just around the corner, I don’t find myself going to Maria’s as often as I did two years ago. Still, it’s a great spot for a quick birria fix. I usually go for the birria burrito or tacos, and both have been consistently good.

This is a must try spot for food in downtown Boston. They have the best salsa verde that has ever touched my tastebuds. The ingredients were fresh, and the service is the best I've seen in the city. They make you feel like family!

I thank God that I found this place. I’ve been searching for a restaurant up here that reminds me of my home food back in the borderland, and this is it. This is the last Mexican restaurant I will ever need to try in Boston. Thank you for the delicious, authentic food, for the immaculate hole-in-the-wall vibes, for my full belly and the smile on my face!! ?? try the Birria tacos and horchata, I highly recommend!

Went to Boston Monday for an appointment and googled food nearby. This place had a good rating and something the Mr and I could agree on.
It did not disappoint. The food was so good, hot, fresh, and very tasty. The tomatoes tasted so fresh, I was thoroughly surprised. I will definitely be back at some point.
The staff was very nice as well. I love going somewhere new and not feeling anxiety. So thank you for the hospitality!
Prices were very decent too.
The only thing I would change is the Mexican rice. It was a little bland, not much flavor.
