I ordered pan-seared Sea Bass. It was beautifully cooked. Nice crust on the outside, very moist on the inside. One of the best-prepared sea basses I've had at restaurants.
Though confirmed and reconfirmed, they did not have our reservation. After a hassle we had a nice table far from the window, the service though was great.
I prebooked for our 45th anniversary. Preordered a chilled bottle of Champaign. Received a call the day before to confirm everything. Upon arrival they tried to put us in the bar then the dining room. No Champaign was ready they brought the Champaign and poured it warm. Started the anniversary dinner badly. Manager comped the bottle. They served a scotch in a chipped glass after dinner. Not a good experience. Not Mastros style at all from previous experiences
The food was excellent & have been several times before. But this was my husbands first time & I did not like when the manager asked for my husband to remove his hat when we were being seated. My husband did as ask and removed his hat. As we sat down we looked over and see 2 other males were hats as well and wore the hats for the duration of their dinner. I did feel targeted & for that I will not be returning. Just to clarify our server provided good service. My issue was not with her at all.
Excellent food and service as always! Highly recommend going here to anyone who hasn't yet.
Great experience Wish they experience forced the dress code of other patrons as we took effort to abide by this and others were there in hooded sweatshirts and sneakers.
My experience at mastro's Boston was phenomenal, me and my girlfriend went for our 2nd year anniversary and had Ruben as our server, he was the best server we had at mastros so far and his service was excellent. Will be recommending him as a server to friends and family. Thanks again mastros for the warm welcome and lovely dinner. See you soon
This was the biggest waste of money - the cocktails were mediocre, food was wildly underwhelming, and the prices were preposterous. They charged $51 for a halibut that was bone dry and had nothing else on the plate - no sides, no garnish, nothing. They also charged $5 for bread that tasted stale. I got the French 77 and it tasted exactly like a bottled French 75 that I have in my fridge - only it cost $19. Will NEVER come here again.
Came for the famous butter cake and a glass of wine and was very pleased. This cake is hands down one of the tastiest things I’ve ever had in my whole life. It’s a must have.
LOVE the location ! Grate service . Thank you “Connor the food was excellent.

What a way to celebrate my birthday! This place is very classy and the food is wonderful. I was able to get a reservation a couple days before and once we arrived, we didn’t wait to be seated. The place was packed but the service didn’t lack. Our server, Reuben, was great! He was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us decide our meals. The food was great too! The a la carte sides are sharing size so don’t let that deter you. Overall, my birthday was well spent here.

We were there with the leadership team of 17 people. Unfortunately I had made the reservation not with the Boston restaurant but with the one in Irvine, CA. So our private room was not available. However, the restaurant manager Luis A. Vasquez and the General Manager Connor Larkin went above and beyond to accommodate us. It was simply amazing. The organized a table for 17 people in no time, had me sent the confirmation by mail and instantly we had the pre-selected menu printed in front of us. The evening turned out amazing even though it started with a shock of having made the reservation and prepayment to the wrong branch. The service was outstanding and so was the food. It was a perfect evening and I want to take the opportunity to once more thank the team at Mastro's Ocean Club from the bottom of my heart. You truly made this event amazing.

We went here yesterday to celebrate our anniversary, and I wish we never had. Our server, Brandy, was the worst waiter I’ve ever encountered—rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional. From the start, she seemed fake and disinterested. When we didn’t order alcohol, she made no effort to hide her disappointment. I asked a few questions about the appetizers, and she looked annoyed, as if I were bothering her, then stopped making eye contact with me altogether and turned to my husband instead, asking if he knew what he wanted. When we asked how much the oysters were, she shrugged and said, “Hmm, I don’t know.” How can a server not know the prices on the menu? After we pressed her, she muttered something like, “Maybe around four dollars each,” as though we were a nuisance. We eventually ordered our meals, but she disappeared for most of the evening. The food took forever to arrive—we were seated at 6:15, and each dish came out painfully slow. The food itself was just okay, nothing memorable. After finishing our main dishes, we waited nearly 30 minutes for someone to return so we could order dessert, but no one came. When Brandy finally reappeared, she casually asked if we wanted dessert, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. We paid and were about to go when she came back and asked, “Is this all the tip?” I said, “I think so.” She frowned, clearly offended, and walked off. Honestly, you treat your customers like that and expect a generous tip? Not everyone wants to order alcohol. You earn a tip through good service—it’s not an entitlement. Brandy’s attitude was insulting and unprofessional, and she single-handedly gave this place a bad name. Never again.

Val and Connor, the managers, always make sure we have an over-the-top amazing experience! They truly know how to deliver fantastic customer service — other managers could learn a lot from them. Every time we visit Mastro’s, we’re treated like VIPs, and it’s clear that Val and Connor set the tone for the whole team.
The food is always outstanding, the atmosphere elegant, and the service consistently top-notch. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a night out, we always leave impressed. Thanks, Val and Connor, for always making our experiences at Mastro’s so great!
