This place is amazing! A gem in Fenway I can't believe I haven't been to until today. They were amazing customer service wise and made the best sweet treats. Please check this place out of you love matcha, ice cream, and cute scenery!!

This cafe has a really special place in my heart. My friends and I used to live very close by so we would stop by almost every other day. Matcha Maiko has probably the most authentic matcha soft serve I've had outside of Asia. My favorite thing to get is the Matcha and Taro combo with either a bubble waffle(the original bubble waffle is the BEST in my opinion, it is super crispy on the outside and so soft and fluffy on the inside) or on top of an iced latte. I would strongly recommend trying their matcha soft serve if you are a matcha fan. The inside is also spacious and perfect for a weekday study session -- I find it really hard to get a seat on the weekends. The service is also amazing, all the baristas that I've encountered so far are super bubbly and considerate.

I did not know this kind of dessert existed. You have to get the bubble waffle and soft serve ice cream. It is very filling. There are so many waffle/soft serve/ syrup combinations to try that I will have to come back to this place.

Their earl grey milk tea is bad, it doesn't taste anything like earl grey, just plain milk:( but their ice cream is so good!

This review is specifically for the bubble waffle soft serve. I really, really wanted to like this but unfortunately it is executed terribly. For starters, the bubble waffle is not a real bubble waffle. The texture is entirely different (more like a Belgian waffle), which I suspect is because they use the same batter for regular waffles and bubble waffles. You can see from the photo that the waffle texture is quite inconsistent and spongy; it is not crisp at all on the outside. Aside from the texture, the waffle itself is virtually tasteless. While the soft serve was inoffensive, you can get better soft serve elsewhere, especially since 2 bubble waffle soft serves with the limited time flavor cost over $30 (!!). Exorbitant and not worth it. Sadly I have not found real bubble waffle soft serve elsewhere in the area, but I simply cannot recommend it here. They look much better than they taste — do not be duped.

Got the Matcha and Ube/Black Sesame mix soft serve in a cup. Both were very flavorful. Not too sweet!! The matcha soft serve was as delicious as the one Ive had in Japan!! Location was clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommended!!

Cute, bright and clean. Lots of different drink options and a few snacks. This is the black & gold, which was a little light on flavor, but the creme brulee topping was really good.

This review is unlikely to stop folks from coming here but want to make sure this doesn't happen to another kid who needs to use the bathroom in an emergency. Came to get ice cream and the place refused a little kid from using the bathroom and insisted a completed order before the facility can be used. This is despite the dad has explained it is an emergency and started to place an order after a no at first. Twice he asked, twice it was refused. They will not let you or your kid use the bathroom unless you have completed your order and paid. You can't use the bathroom and then order. Doesn't matter if you are about to pee in your pants. They just do not care. I won't be back. Rather spend my money where people have a heart and not awful.

This place deserves No star! Absolutely the worst service from the worst kind of person. I am still in disbelief this actually happened. I came in to get ice cream and asked the cashier if my kid can use the bathroom as he is having an emergency. The cashier could have cared less and said I have to order first. So I started to place an order and asked again if my kid can go now use the bathroom. Again, the cashier said no and insisted that I have to complete my order first while my kid is about to pee in his pants. I just cannot believe how heartless and horrible a person can be to refuse a little kid from using the bathroom in this situation. This is beyond reserving bathroom use for its customers only. This person is simply being an awful human being. Shame on her and the owner who is allowing this kind of behavior. This place does not deserve your hard earned money.
