The food is undeniably top-tier—worthy of a high-end dining experience—yet it’s served in a casual diner setting, which creates a bit of a contrast. The space is bright but lacks an atmosphere that matches the excitement of the cuisine. Additionally, they don’t have a liquor license, so no sake pairings, which feels like a missed opportunity. Overall, the food is a solid 10, while the rest is a 7 or 8—not because anything is wrong, but simply because it doesn’t quite align with the quality of the dishes. Definitely worth the trip for the food alone!

Matsunori Handroll Bar is a must-visit! The hand rolls are fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted with crisp nori, warm rice, and top-tier seafood. The toro and uni are especially amazing! The service is friendly and efficient, creating a welcoming yet refined dining experience. If you love sushi, this spot is a no-brainer. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is FANTASTIC! The ingredients were amazing, and the service was excellent! We waited in line, but every second was worth it. It was an immaculate experience. This is my favorite new place in Boston! ❤️🤩
Wonderful sushi experience. Super flavorful fish. The OG miso butter cod is superb, maybe the best thing I have ever eaten. My only regret is filling up on rolls and having to skip the matcha triamisu. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
We had the mango salmon, truffle avocado, akami jelly, spicy scallop, the OG miso cod, and they were all extremely tasty! For dessert all matcha stuff!!! You cannot go wrong with any choice you make. The service was amazing, really nice vibe! Very cute for a date or casual dinner.

Such a fab experience! great service from the check in process to ordering and serving. Every roll was extremely fresh and seasoned to perfection without needing excess soy or wasabi to add to the flavors! all the waiters are extremely knowledgeable+friendly and eager to help with any questions on the menu. highly highly recommend this place to satisfy that sushi/handroll craving!!
