Mattapan House of Pizza

The service And atmosphere was atrocious. The man at the register was literally engaging in an argument with a customer trying to embarrass her about not having enough money to pay for her food. The customer might have gone a little overboard but the rep definitely was agitating her. And then he spent a good 3 minutes venting with me, and all I kept saying was, can I just please have my pizza. The pizza was pretty good! However, I'll never go back. There are plenty of pizzerias for me to go to one where the workers willingly engage in drama that could easily escalate to violence.

The pizza was drenched in grease. I called them and they were not willing to replace or reimburse. We had to go to the pizza shop because they were ignoring the messages. Still, a full refund was not given.

MHOP I enjoy ordering take out, very friendly pizza is great sub's also. Delivery extremely quick.

POOR Customer Service! Pizza was delivered to my home undercooked and asked for another pizza/ was denied and told a bogus story about how “they cook one side of the pizza a certain way so that its not burned on the other when you order a half and half. I also asked for a manager and the name of the person I was speaking to and was told that he “doesnt have to tell me who he is”. Never again

I ordered 3 steak and extra cheese wraps today. There was no cheese in any of the wraps. The steak was as cold as ice, and dry. The wrap was falling apart. I lost $40 with this order. And, I'm disgusted. I threw all 3 wraps in the trash.

I can't believe I am writing this review but on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, I had a negative experience with an employee when I tried to place an order at a restaurant I have been visiting since my childhood. I called Mattapan House of Pizza 30 minutes before their closing time which was not by choice, however unfortunately, I was met with an unprofessional and disgruntled employee who informed me that they were closed and hung up in my face, even though it was still 30 minutes before their actual closing time.

I strongly believe that this employee needs a major attitude adjustment as I have had mostly negative experiences with this person in the past, and whenever I came to this restaurant, I always try my best to be nice to this particular person. However, it seems that practicing good quality customer service isn't something that is enforced and taught much nowadays. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand if taking an order 30 minutes before closing time could be a major inconvenience if you want to go home; however, the tone of this person speaking to me over the phone could have been more friendlier and more professional.

Usually, calling this restaurant 30 minutes before their closing time was never an issue, and when I arrived, I was almost always met with good quality customer service. However lately I've been noticing a major decline in good quality customer service at this restaurant and although Mattapan House of Pizza has been a long-standing restaurant in the area, employees like this person are one of many reasons why Black businesses do not last. Where I come from respect is earned and as of writing this review my respect has been lost and I will be no longer supporting this business.

Ordered today and know I remember why I don’t order from this establishment.1 they need serious police detail in this place. The amount of illegal transactions I saw today really disgust me. 2 . When I arrived home opened my pizza the pizza was greasy as helll and it wasn’t cut for me to enjoy to eat

I ordered a large pizza with mushrooms and onions dude tried to charge me for 3 topping.. an extra $5..basically they\he are now adding the cheese as a topping.. maybe they don't understand that the ingredients for pizza calls for cheese it is not a topping. Needless to say I didn't pay for it.
