I have been going here for years and have tried almost everything on the menu. Everything is delicious and well-crafted from the unique sushi rolls to the classic and authentic Mexican dishes. The interior is clean and well decorated with a modern vibe. The staff are all extremely friendly and courteous. This is a true authentic restaurant in a world where everything is becoming a chain. This is truly a hidden gem just steps from the blue line.
La Piñata is open right in front of Maverick Square in Eastie with great cocktails and outdoor seating. Well priced authentic Mexican food too, that's coming from a fellow Mexican. With East Boston becoming SO gentrified and with more generic or "high end" restaurants pushing out local establishments, this is a delicious place to visit and support a local business.
The food is good, they charged me $50.78 for 2 cachanilla rolls. I I had someone pick up for me. Of course I didn’t get a receipt. He obviously tipped himself. And last time he had a the nerve to ask if I would like to leave a few tip for the workers in the restaurant like what?
