New to the neighborhood and found this place while walking around. Very nice spot and very good food and drinks. The only issue we had was we were forgot about a few times for long periods of time waiting to order and pay. Maybe it was where we had been seated, but overall the staff was super friendly and helpful when they were around. Finding this place was certainly a nice surprise and I will be back.

After an evening of laughs at CSz Boston - Home of ComedySportz, I headed to Midnight Morning for a light dinner and drinks. The mushroom fried wontons are soooo yummy.

I have eaten here a couple of times and had the fried rice tofu both times. It was delicious! They have creative drinks and moxtails. The food was served hot and quickly.Staff is friendly and efficient! I love the decor too! I will be back soon.

I’m so happy this place is in our neighborhood! I most recently ate here for dinner with two adults and a toddler.Highlights:- The restaurant team were great — kind, present, but not pushy- they are very kid-friendly — they got us set up right away with a high chair, and the mac and cheese on the kids menu was great by kid and adult standards- the tonkatsu sandwich was great- delicious fries- really nicely done scallops (crispy on the top and bottom, creamy in the middle)- gluten free, vegan brownie — fudgey and a great end to the mealI’ve been there a couple times and this most recent visit (Feb 2024) was the best in terms of food. I think their menu is getting more creative and consistent. I was underwhelmed by the steamed veggies that came with the scallops, but that’s my only critique of this visit!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and kid books and activities available. The mac and cheese on the kids menu is delicious.

Really, I mean really bad and loud music. Menu was eclectic, but nothing special, the ambiance was poor. BTW, take a look at the other reviews, many look way too fake. Like they were posted by friends of the owner or a marketing firm.

Pleasantly surprised with how well they do takeout: they intentionally package components separately so they don't get all sloshed together and keep their own temperatures/texture. And even their fried items retained some crunch by the time we got home: +1 for execution overall. Though note they sadly don't do take-out drinks, so you'll need to dine-in to imbibe. Food-wise, we enjoyed our meal. The highlight was the salmon, which was tasty and cooked perfectly: meltingly tender, even after the trip home, and the bok choy/carrots and white bean hummus that came with complimented the fish well. The chicken dish was packed with flavor and also a very hearty main, and the house-cut frites and fried pickles rounded out the meal well. Good amount of food as well, nice combo of quality and quantity. The menu does have a little something for everyone on one hand (and in various capacities- big mains to small sharers), but on the other can also be a bit limited if you don't like the current version of it or if you have menu restrictions (was into the idea of the croquettes from the previous iterations, but not into the flavors from this version). Dessert menu is limited, too- brunch menu looks fun though, and their back patio is lovely. Hope they stick around and keep improving- it's a promising start.

Out of the norm, exciting food and drinks. A bit cold in the restaurant, the service was good. We loved the eclectic glassware. We look forward to coming back in the summer. The patio looked inviting! We had three appetizers, the duck pate, the dry rub, chicken wings, and fried pickles. For dinner I had steak Frites. The steak was wonderful.

Have come on 3 occasions, for dinner, just apps and drinks, and brunch. Service is fast, atmosphere is relaxed, and food is good. Best things I've had are the smoked bluefish and kale small plates (both excellent and the smoked fish could def make an appearance for brunch) and the breakfast fried rice (truly delicious). They have nice gluten free, veg, and vegan options. When I was here for brunch a family came in and pulled a complimentary game off the center counter and played candy land while they ate, it was very cute.

Cozy ambiance, good size restaurant. I love to try new places ,we decided to give it a try. the appetizers were not the typical, we got the rubbed chicken wings and others dishes. however the wings flavor was amazing! the staff super attentive and friendly. drinks were also interesting. I would go back again. I would like to try every dish on the menu.

Nice atmosphere , attentive service, good wine selection. I had the Cinnamon Toast cocktail , their variation on the Old Fashioned which was very good. Most of us had the steak frites which were great! Will definitely come back.

Update from 5 to 4 stars. It’s happened twice that the greens were so salty I could not eat them. It has not happened to me at any other good restaurant. I informed the server and he said he will pass it on to the kitchen. I can tolerate a salty mistake, but this was beyond regular amounts. Remember: you can always add more salt, but you can’t take it out!Drinks: This is my favorite place to go out for drinks in Roslindale. The atmosphere is great for relaxing and conversation. Came here with my extended family, for date nights with my husband, whatever occasion involves a drink, this place is my go to.Food: I am a vegetarian. So I didn’t try the burger. But for what I did try, there is room for improvement. I’ve had a salad that was too salty, and appetizers that were a bit too greasy, but also a few good meals. So, I think the food menu is still work in progress and I expect it will get better with time.Desert: Had the chocolate cake and it was very good. I don’t eat fritters and I’m not a fan of cheesecake. So, from my perspective the desert menu should be expanded to include a more luxurious option like a tiramisu or something else.Service has been really good each time I visited.Overall, I really enjoy this place and wish them all the best. I think it’s a 4 star for the overall experience, even if food can be better.

Great restaurant, first time. The apps were great french fries very crispy and tasty, loved the fried pickles. Others also loved theirs. My nieces loved the pasta and salmon, lots of choices. The chicken sandwich was also tasty, great drinks. I don’t live nearby but would highly recommend.
