DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!. Me and my friends had the worst experience here. The owner called the cops on us because we was just expressing our frustration on how bad of a service we were getting. On top of that he overcharged us double on the chicken tender baskets which the menu on the wall says different price from what he charged us and never told us in the beginning to informs us his price has changed. so to cover himself he tells us he put in extra food for us which never did and also we never asked for anything extra. We just felt like the service could of have been better where the owner could have been more polite but he was full of anger for no reason and yelling at us. Our frustration comes from where he charged us for 4 chicken tender baskets but gives us only 2 while my other friends are wondering what had happened to their orders. My friend end up losing his appetite from what just had happened and ended up giving his food away to a homeless person there. He’s a terrible owner and it’s sad to see a local business owner treating us like this because me and my friends are always supporting local businesses.

Molly Moo's is NOT your typical beachside food.I've been here multiple times and tried something different each time - you can tell the owner cares a lot about the quality of the product he puts out. The ingredients are fresh, the food is hot and fast, and everything is seasoned. You're not getting something that was taken out of the freezer and thrown on the grill - you're getting REAL food that is delicious and made with love.Side note: the burger, fries, and onion rings are some of my favorite in Boston PERIOD. After a long day sitting on the beach, it's exactly what you need. I couldn't believe how good it was the first time I tried it - I thought I would be getting your typical frozen beach-side patty but it tasted like it was out of a fine restaurant. To top it off, the owner treats everyone like he knows them. He's always up for chatting, learning your name, getting to know you, and he'll remember you the next time you come in. It really gives you that small-town feel right in the middle of southie. You'll almost always find the owner there working, making sure Molly Moo's is giving the best of the best costumer experience.10/10 would recommend for the food AND service!!

EDIT: A look at the owner’s response to this review tells you everything you need to know. A part of me wonders what he had hoped for when he called the police. Terrible experience. Staff called the police on my friends and I because we voiced our frustration with their poor service. I’ll try to make this short but want to provide as much detail of our experience as possible. A group of us stopped here during a bike ride. We ordered a total of four chicken fingers. IMPORTANT DETAIL HERE: There is a large billboard style menu on the wall. The price on said chicken fingers was marked at $4.50 on this menu. Well when one of our friends proceeds to make a group order for us (3 chicken fingers plates and 2 waters) he pays and notice his total was around $45. My other friends proceeds to purchase for himself and purchases one chicken finger plate and a couple of waters, totaled around $19. My friends are visually shocked at the total and asks why so much. The young kid operating the register informs us that those prices aren’t correct (you’d like to think they would tell you this ahead of time) and that a laminated menu lying around the register area had the real prices. That’s fine. Its a pandemic. I advocated to my friends that we should support small and local business during these times anyways. This is where it gets interesting. The cook/manager? (who is the only adult working) brings out TWO chicken fingers and fries. I want to note here that this was on a Sunday, 60 degrees cloudy day and it was NOT AT ALL BUSY. So he brings out two chicken finger plates and my friend tells him that he had ordered 3. The manager proceeds to go to his register screen to view previous orders. He confirms that it was three that my friend ordered. He now proceeds to drop in that third chicken finger order. Please remember that we had another member of our crew also order a plate for himself and he is also still waiting. Ok another 5-7 mins or so go by and he brings out that third chicken finger plate and tries to give it to my other friend who was waiting on his plate. We informed the cook that this plate completed our first order of 3 plates but that there was still one more to be made. Cook proceeds to check his register again realizing this is correct, goes back to the kitchen, drops in another order of chicken tenders. At this point the misunderstanding on his behalf and the back and forth has made us impatient and unsatisfied with the service, add in the total cost for all this and we’re just not happy. After waiting another 5-7 minutes. The order wasn’t ready and my friend decided he no longer wanted the food. We voiced to the cook that the service has taken longer than expected especially with all the back and forth misunderstanding and the lack of communicating. We ask for a form of reimbursement/discount for the inconvenience. You’d expect the cook to apologize for the inconvenience and be understanding of our frustration. Instead the cook argues with us, tells us its below us to ask for a refund, proceeds to blame his printing machine in the kitchen and claims that for the lackadaisical service he has provided with “extra food” lol. Well we wouldn’t know what a regular plate looks like right? And we didn’t ask for extra food. We ordered what we ordered, we paid the price that was not advertised and we waited through mistake after mistake. After a verbal disagreement between us and the cook, one in which he never apologies to us. We cut our losses, take our food and sit down to eat.Sadly, two minutes later State Police shows up. The cook had called the police on us. Thankfully the officer was professional. We informed him it was a disagreement with the service but that we we’re ready to go. We gave our food to homeless man nearby and went about our business. I will never return again. Best of luck to the establishment. I hope they focus on improving customer service.

The gentleman who owns this shop couldn’t be friendlier. His family-fun business is admirable and the energy behind the register is infectious. The food and ice cream is also amazing. I will be returning for soft serve and to chat with the owner again soon!

One of the only places left of it's kind.. perfect for any group. Love this place.. Went there post-Covid lockdown and was impressed with the way all of the social distanced was handled and it didn't compromise the usual good time!!! can't wait to go again
