Years ago I used to work in Boston, and Montier was some of the best Thai. Great location, just outside of Chinatown, near the theater district. Was in town for a show, and stopped here for a pre-show dinner. I was amazed at how affordable the prices were, and no skimflation either! I ordered the classic Pad Thai, my wife ordered a salad with minced chicken & lime she saw on their online menu. Both were delicious and plentiful.

Montien is still my fave Thai spot. Mind you, I've been to Asian , but admittedly not Thailand yet. Everything is so yummy and the service is awesome

I gotta say, I don't get it.We got off a plane and to our hotel near Chinatown. Came for dine in on a Saturday night after reading some good reviews. They have lots of old awards posted in front, none recently...s hould have been a clue.We ordered masaman curry and beef pad see you with an appetizer and drink. Meats in both dishes were dry and rubbery. Beef didn't taste fresh. Curry lacked flavor and depth. Noodles were overcooked to the point of just falling apart. The drink was ok, not that strong. Service was friendly and quick, but didnt come to refill the drink. Portion size was reasonable...I'm not some food snob, but have had better Thai out in the boonies. Don't know how a business like this stays open in a big city Chinatown.I get some places have off nights, but this was bad enough I wouldn't come back.Wife agreed with me, for what it's worth.

Food was good, atmosphere lacking, and service was mediocre. Prices were very affordable for the quality of the food which i found to be authentically Thai.

We had tickets for a show at The Wilbur and we searched for somewhere within a block or two from the theater. Montien showed up in the results, and since we haven't had Thai in awhile, we made a reservation. We're so glad we did! The food was excellent as was the service. We will definitely go back!

Was looking for a quick bite to eat and had seen this restaurant the day before and first impressions I was not sure, but it shows that you can be wrong. The service was really friendly, and the tom yum soup and red curry were really nicely cooked and tasted great. I was surprised how large the portions were, so great value for money.

Stumbled in before a show at the Wilbur and grabbed a table for 1. The tod mun pla appetizer was really good but I think the Salmon Choo Chee was likely the best I've had anywhere! The mai tai special cocktail was also very good ?

Wow! My friend and I did not expect this spot to be as good as it is. We were greeted kindly, seated quickly and served well. The food was delicious, I had panang curry tofu, I forgot to say I wanted mine Thai spicy but I was pleasantly surprised by their spices in flavor profile. My friend had phad khee mao and it looked delicious to me, that's normally what I go for. The texture of the noodles was perfect that day. Might have to come back!

Sooo yucky. My pad se ew was old and had to ask for it to be taken back or I would have for sure gotten sick if I kept eating it. Not sure how this place is in business and was super sad that for such a beautiful restaurant, they are serving such disgusting food

Montien lived up to our past experiences-and we hadn't been in a couple of years. The service, food portions, wine, flavors-all were top notch as always. We asked for the Thai menu which I'd seen on line, and ended up ordering from both the 'regular' menu and the Thai one. The Choo-Chi crispy duck has a different presentation than I remembered-and it is still delicious; Flavorful, crispy, full of sauce and lots of perfectly cooked vegetables. We worried ordering the roasted duck curry might be redundant and switched to a chicken curry at the last minute. This too was tasty with a slight zing to it-which we like. The curry came with rice plus we ordered a side of rice as well. These 2 dishes were more than we could finish. The wine was also a generous pour. Our waitperson was friendly, attentive, and helpful and the restaurant was hopping on a Sat. night. We will definitely keep returning to Montien when downtown. If you're looking for interesting flavors, come here!
