MoonBar has really hit its stride. Excellent, innovative and interesting cocktails paired with delicious and varied food menu that leans spicy. I think the rice pudding might be the best dessert in the city!

Jazzy, fun space with excellent service. We went on a Friday night, and it was pleasantly full and busy, but it didn't so loud that we couldn't chat. The bartenders were great, and the front of house was very obliging in re-seating in a location away from the door. Lots of attention to detail with the food. Tasty place with a great ambience.

Excellent cocktails with friendly and attentive bar staff. Loved that. We had 3 dishes. The tuna appetizer had a trio of strong flavors. Tangerine, Tamarind, and Tuna. For me and my wife, they just didn't blend well. The lamb burger didn't blow us away. Loved the pickled cauliflower, but the tomato chutney not so much. The tandori chicken was wonderful! Loved the cucumber yogurt dipping sauce. There are other items I'd like to try on the menu so we will be back. I loved the vibe.

Great food, great service, music was much too low, felt like a dining room not a bar. You barely hear the music at all. Killing the vibe for such a cool space. Not sure if it a bad speaker set up or just need to turn it up. I don't expect loud like a bar room, but it was really weak and annoying.

The food and cocktails are out of this world. Flavors are amped compared to upstairs, which seemed just right for the more casual room and experience. Service seemed overwhelmed when we arrived but they sorted it very quickly. I'm putting Moon Bar high on my list of favorite casual spots to get back to. The only thing that I didn't love was the little table facing outside. I found it uncomfortable. Recommend that you take a regular table or just eat at the bar and then you will have a fabulous night.

Super unfortunate experience. Food was fantastic, but the service was poor. My date and I had a reservation at the bar on the first floor and we were completely forgotten about. There was no clear server assigned to us and we had to constantly get the attention of the staff throughout our meal (which also was a struggle). We could understand if it was incredibly busy, but there was plenty of staff noticeably checking in with other customers. When we got a few chances to interact with the staff, they were quite curt. Throughout our entire meal, no one came to check in and ask how we were doing or if we needed anything else. We had to ask twice for our bill to different servers and towards the end, we simply wanted to just leave. The food was fantastic, but the overall experience has left us disappointed.

Moon Bar was fantastic, the food, service, drinks, and ambiance were all top notch. Was one of our favorite meals in the last few years around town. Unique food options all perfectly seasoned with an impressive bar program.

The innovative menu was flawlessly executed and delicious. But what really made the evening was the service. Everyone, from host to server, was friendly, warm, welcoming and eager to please. Even the manager and bartender pitched in and made time to talk while filling our every need. Hope this wonderful restaurant is in here for a long run.

I absolutely loved my dining experience at moon bar. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful and very accomadating. The food was super flavorful and delicious. I loved the hint of spice in some of the dishes. And the mango salad was savory, yet super refreshing. DEFINITELY recommend the snapper and crab stew as it was nothing I've ever had before (in all the right ways). The cocktails were magnificient. There wasnt a single cocktail I got that I didn't like. Moon Bar would be great for a date night, before or after dinner spot, or a night out with friends! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back!

Incredible food, easily one of the best meals I've ever had in Boston, even probably the best. The marinated halibut was incredible and a must have, as were the chickpea fries. Loved the papaya salad, but felt like it was a bigger portion than we needed, so we added it onto the top of the lamb burger and it was insanely good there. Great vibes, would definitely want to sit at the bar instead of the counter next time, as I did feel like that was the center of the energy, and made it so our service was somewhat more sporadic, but still great.

It was our first time dining at Moon Bar - really great experience. The staff were extremely attentive and the food was so delicious. Highlights were the mahi and the salads verde on the steak dish.

Great place to get a lobster roll. The place was quiet and has a large window towards the street to people watch while you enjoy your roll. The star of the show was well seasoned with a butter sauce. The amount of lobster was perfect and the brioche bun was delicious. I would definitely visit again.

Had a casual lunch on Saturday. Food comes quickly. The roasted beef sandwich tastes fresh, although sauce may be too much for me. The best part is the bun: the skin is crispy and the inside is soft. I ordered extra meat, so don’t be surprised if your sandwich looks smaller than mine!

Everything was so well done and absolutely delicious. Beautifully presented with unique dinnerware for quite a few dishes. Staff is friendly & professional. Usually this level of food correlates with a stuffy environment but that is not the case here. Love that it's on a higher floor.

Best tasting menu I’ve had in Boston.Came here about a month ago to try their seasonal tasting menu. Everything on the menu seemed like a concoction of contemporary cuisines with creative ingredients. I was excited to finally give them a try, and overall, it was a transformative experience. The course started with spring vichyssoise which struck my tastebuds with a good mount of acidity. Tuna crudo was headily fragrant with basil, and sliced artichoke added a contrasting texture that I enjoyed. Yet, my favorite from the appetizers was the local cod croquette. Its custard-like batter immediately melted in my mouth, and its combination with green garlic aioli and thinly-sliced asparagus was simply divine.Decorated with a crown of almonds and snap peas, sherry glazed unagi was undoubtedly the most memorable dish of the meal. Unagi was not only tender, but its slightly smoky flavor paired really well with the creamy ajo blanco. Both the steamed black bass and the roasted veal loin were great, but the latter clearly pulled ahead as a winner. Lamb was extremely tender, and its unconventional toppings were also elements of surprise. While apricot harissa gave it a sweet profile, Berber and spring onions enhanced the savoriness of the steak. I wasn’t expecting such perfection from a seafood restaurant, but the lamb loin was possibly the best I’ve had in my life. Before the desserts, they also served us with a complimentary sorbet to cleanse our palates. The dessert portion of the meal wasn’t as impressive, but it was still much better than the ones served at other high-end restaurants in the city. While the tasting menu at Mooncusser wasn’t cheap, it felt like a bargain given the high quality and creative elements of the dishes. Would definitely be back to try their other seasonal tasting menus.
