We love staying at the XV Beacon & so end up dining at Mooo Beacon often. I have to say the food is always yummy & cooked well. There’s be couple of times when our orders got confused but they always make it right. Salads are fresh & steaks are really yummy! Definitely recommend Mooo Beacon!

Incredible steaks. A bit pricey. A little loud even with the sound dampers. The steaks made it worth a trip.

We went to the Mooo at Beacon Hill after eloping at the City Hall. The staff was super friendly and kind. We were congratulated by all the employees that we interacted with. The steaks came as requested and the food in general, was delicious. We’ll definitely come back again.

I came to Mooo Beacon Hill with my mother and father to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Food aside, which was fantastic, this restaurant really went above and beyond to make their night special. The menus we received were printed with a special happy anniversary message at the top, our waiter congratulated my parents when we were sat, and the kitchen even sent out a small dessert on the house (gluten free for my mother I might add which the restaurant was not informed of ahead of time) that that beautiful chocolate calligraphy saying happy 25th anniversary. These small but meaningful actions that Mooo went out of their way to do really made their night special and one we will never forget. So thank you Mooo! And for anyone else considering eating here, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better restaurant in my opinion.

First time here and came off a local recommendation. The food was very good, the service was solid, and the atmosphere captured a nice vibe. I did not have any spirits so I can’t speak to the skill of the bartenders, but if the food is any indication…
I visited for business and when scheduling reservations asked for a quiet corner, which they honored so that was appreciated. Given the liveliness of the crowd it was still a bit hard for table conversation, but not impossible. I would go back both personally and professionally.

Ate a pre-planned menu here during a business dinner.
Food was very good. Well seasoned and plated. Looked at the regular menu I would imagine it delivers a similar experience.
Service was very good. Attentive, good with water refills. Proper higher end dining plate delivery and removal.
Bar area was roomy and lively. We were in a downstairs room that was perfect for our party.
I would say it's about exactly what it should be and exactly what you'd expect it to be.

One of the strangest dining experiences Ive ever had. It started out wonderful, the server was friendly and helpful. The starters were delicious and easily sharable. Our main courses were where the experience changed dramatically. 2 of our 4 steaks were over cooked, no big deal, it happens. We didnt want them to refire them because it was going to be another 20 min, again no big deal. The manager(I assume because she checked on us) said she would take care of dessert for us for the inconvenience. Now I dont think thats an appropriate because the steak was about $75, the bone marrow topper was another $15 and the sauce was about another $8, and i didnt eat the steak. Still, whatever, its not going to ruin our night out. However, apparently the server didnt like hearing about the steak, he was no longer friendly, didnt speak to the table again and never checked for the drinks we wanted or talk to us about dessert. So we asked for the check, paid, tipped, and got ready to leave but not before a snide remark from the server, right before we left about "food critics"
$700 to be treated poorly for an over cooked steak wasnt on my holiday weekend to-do list.

We celebrated a birthday here! It was AMAZING! Flavors and presentation were perfect! Hector took great care of us. We had a great time! Oysters, tuna tartar, beef tartar, roasted bone marrow, out of this world steaks, complimented with incredible drinks and finished with a chocolate cake was an epiphany. Great atmosphere, out of this world Staff makes this a must destination!

On a recent visit to Boston, I decided to switch things up from my usual steakhouse spot, Grill 23, and try Moo in Beacon Hill. I’m really glad I made that decision. Since I was dining solo, I grabbed a seat at the bar, which turned out to be perfect.
The bartenders struck the ideal balance between being attentive without over-chatting—kudos for that. I started with an extra dirty martini that was excellent, easily one of the top five I've ever had. They didn’t skimp on the olive juice or the blue cheese-stuffed olives, which was a nice touch. I followed that with a glass of wine to pair with dinner, and later, a post-dinner tequila drink. The service remained impeccable throughout the meal.
Now, onto the real highlight: the food. I began with the smoked steak tartare, which was outstanding. The portion size, sauce, and accoutrements were just right. The presentation was a showstopper—it arrived smoked in a glass bubble, which made for a unique touch. For my main course, I opted for one of my favorite cuts, the ribeye cap steak. At Moo, it’s an American Wagyu, while at Grill 23 it’s the Kobe Cap. The cap steak at Moo was easily one of the best cuts of meat I’ve ever tasted. Photos can’t do it justice. I also added bone marrow as a side—it was a bit salty but still delicious. As for the sides, I went with the broccolini and mushrooms. Both were excellent, with the mushrooms offering good variety and seasoning, and the broccolini perfectly charred.
Now, the only downside: as a solo diner, I typically enjoy a bit of a bar scene, and Moo in Beacon Hill wasn’t quite the place for that. Most of the people at the bar were just waiting for their tables, so there wasn’t much conversation happening. Perhaps the Seaport location has more of a vibe.
One pleasant surprise: the prices at Moo were noticeably lower than at Grill 23.
All in all, Moo has now become my favorite steakhouse in Boston. The menu offers great variety, and the food and drinks are top-notch. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the mood for an outstanding steak.

Environment and service was spectacular! Nothing to complain about.
Tartare was delicious, if I ordered only that it would be 5 stars. Bread they serve, for the table and for the tartare, both delicious.
Beef Wellington, soggy dough and meat was not good, the iron taste was very present. Meatballs were dry and “polenta” was tasteless.
Wedge salad was good.
Nothing on dessert menu made me ordered one, nothing special to finish this meal.

While my husband and I stayed at XV Beacon we enjoyed a light afternoon snack as well as brunch the next day. The portion sizes are fantastic and everything comes made precisely to order. I definitely recommend the omelet!
