I don’t have too many steakhouse reviews but our experience at Mooo Seaport was outstanding. My wife and I, who live across town and don’t frequent Seaport, Ubered to Seaport last might for what turned into one of our best steak experiences in recent memory (yes it was that good).
We decided on the tuna tartare appetizer, followed by the Beef Wellington and cap steak (the latter, one of their specialties) and said we would be sharing everything. The tartare, a delicious combination of tuna, seaweed and a yummy sauce with seaweed and sesame oil flavor, was perfectly portioned on two separate plates for us, as was the Wellington, arguably the star of the evening (for my wife especially). Thin, crispy pastry surrounded the tenderloin and inside was an amazing duxelles with foie gras that topped the steak, served on a perfect red wine reduction.
However, for me, the cap steak was another level in terms of both richness and tenderness. Of course both steaks were cooked to a precise medium rare and paired perfectly with simple sea salt fries and a glass of CA cab.
Very solid beer and wine by the glass menus (and dirty martini loaded with blue cheese olives for my wife). Service was outstanding. In addition to everything being separated and perfectly presented, one of the servers from another table (Zach), whom we had known at the Capital Grille years ago, had recognized our name from the reservation list and came by to say hello! In addition, the manager came several times to make sure we had everything.
That level of detail, the “through the roof” level of the food and preparation, set Mooo above nearly every other Boston steakhouse, in the same conversation as Grille 23. Cheers, Mooo!

We had our wedding at Mooo… Seaport and cannot say enough amazing things about the entire experience. From the moment we began planning to the very last minute of our reception, the team went above and beyond in every possible way. The events manager Melanie was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect.
The staff on the day of our wedding delivered flawless service—professional, warm, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The food was unbelievable (our guests are still talking about it), the venue was stunning, and every detail ran seamlessly. It honestly felt like a dream, and we owe so much of that to the exceptional team here.
If you’re considering hosting an event or wedding at Mooo… Seaport, don’t hesitate. It was truly one of the best decisions we made. We are beyond grateful for the unforgettable experience!

We had the Japanese Wagyu beef dumplings as an appetizer and they were incredible, the sauce they came in was delicious and the beef inside was perfectly cooked. I got the A5 Japanese wagyu which was very good, some pieces were a bit cool which I understand happens with the A5 but I feel it should have been properly heated up and brought out immediately. It was seared on the outside with the right amount of crisp and the warm pieces inside melted like butter. As a complimentary side they gave exotic mushrooms which were delicious and had some kind of a raspberry vinegar glaze/sauce which was perfect with these mushrooms. My wife got the American Wagyu filet whip was cooked and seasoned perfectly, came out delicious. We also had there tater tots which were crispy on the outside and a mashed potatoe filling on the inside. It was my birthday and they gave me a complimentary chocolate filled with marshmallow and graham cracker. The service was excellent, our waiter was very friendly, everyone who waited on our table was excellent, top class service. All in all a great experience

Not only did they overpass our expectations but also made a memorable night out of our anniversary. Everything was fantastic. Cannot ask for more. No words but thank you!
This was my second time at this location. The first was good, but this second time was horrible. I went with a group of people, and when food was coming out I did not receive the prime ribeye I ordered. The waitstaff told me that it would be out soon, and after 10 minutes, what I received was a sorry excuse of a ribeye. It looked like something that would come out of a Denny's: large grey line, zero sear, overcooked, and thinner and smaller than everyone else's steaks (who ordered the same thing as me) to the point that I had to ask if what they had given me was actually a ribeye. I assume that what happened was my steak was not put in with the rest of the order and they flash cooked a thin low quality cut to get it out asap. It was one of the worst steaks I've had in a restaurant. Regardless of price if I had to pick between that steak or a ribeye from Texas Roadhouse, I would pick Texas Roadhouse, and what's even worse is that it was an 85 dollar steak here. Honestly, this was a horrible experience going here and would not recommend that others come either.

I unfortunately experienced very poor service at the bar, it felt as though we were being intentionally ignored, and the bartenders communicated minimally, which created a very uncomfortable atmosphere. I also ordered a medium burger that arrived quite rare. The manager handled the situation promptly and was excellent and brought us a dessert, but the service from the bartenders was noticeably unfriendly.

I caught their third party valet service smoking drugs in my car. Never again. Mooo is a disgrace
Modern steakhouse with a twist! Celebrated my mom's birthday with a delicious dinner here at Moo. We wanted something different than the typical steakhouse (Smith & Wolensky, Capital Grille, etc.) and we've heard great things about Moo. The lobster bisque with souffle topping is one of the best I've ever had - sweet from the lobster and not overly buttery. The porterhouse was cooked perfectly. We definitely recommend the cream spinach and mushroom sides. We topped it all off with an apple tart a la mode...yum! Thank you to our waiter, Daniel for providing the best service and making my mom's birthday super special.

We had an absolutely amazing experience! My husband, our friends, and I were blown away by the food. The bone marrow was one of the best we’ve ever had — rich, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. The Beef Wellington tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and the American Wagyu Cap was truly the cherry on top of an incredible meal.
The service was outstanding. Our server Brad was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the menu with confidence and great recommendations. The managers were attentive and made sure we were enjoying every part of our evening.
The bar also deserves a special mention — the drinks were phenomenal. Ivo( the bartender)I made me a light pink Cosmopolitan that was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted.
Overall, an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend!
The drinks weren't strong enough. The lobster Mac and cheese was disgusting. For $500 dinner I give this restaurant a 2 star. The only good thing was the waitress was nice. I didn't appreciate the fact that I wasn't told ahead that the water was going to cost $24.00. I will Not return
I honestly feel like this place is better for drinks then for food
I felt like it was extremely overpriced for what we actually got. I did think they went above and beyond with the menu. It was a nice personal touch. I was there for an anniversary and a birthday and they gave her a personalized menu but other than that when you spend 400+ on a dinner 389 to be exact you would think you would get more.
I will say that I went there prior just for drinks in the atmosphere. It was pretty amazing.
But just be aware that you are going to spend quite a bit when you go here it’s up to you if you think it’s worth it or not
I believe this place is more hype than what it’s worth. I would be willing to try it again some other time.
The milk and cookies was amazing! Also had to add that in there

This place is AMAZING!!! The food is cooked perfectly. The servers are fantastic and very attentive. This was a perfect Anniversary dinner. They even wrote Happy Anniversary in chocolate on our dessert plates. We loved the yellowfin tuna appetizer. Even the ceaser salads were worth bragging about. My girlfriend ordered the porterhouse rare and it was perfectly rare from top to bottom. I had the salmon and it was moist and flavorful. My girlfriend had the mixed ice cream and sorbet. Her favorite was the apple cider sorbet. Everything is made in house. We can't wait to return. We also want to try the one on Beacon Hill to compare the two of them. Don't forget to make a reservation because it this restaurant is full even on weekdays.
