JUAN best server!!
Made a reservation for my friends birthday. The place is gorgeous. Had to wait about 25 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. No big deal. Got our drinks. Politely asked the waiter what were the popular dishes and he says “well let’s look at the menu” then he proceeded to open the menu and list off everything on it for about 5 minutes. For the high prices I’d assume we would have a nice waitor who could give us some recommendations. Instead we got a very condescending response. After 2 drinks each and a cucumber salad and a dish with 4 tiny slices of steak, and bare minimum service the bill was $180 with a bunch of random fees added to it. Needless to say. I was disappointed, and it is very over priced for such small dishes and small drinks.
The food here was 10/10! We got the cucumber salad, soup dumplings, bao buns, and tangerine tuna. Everything was delicious! Our waiter, Frank, was excellent! It was a little loud, but we could still talk. Would definitely go back!

Amazing food and drinks, great service, upscale/trendy vibe! The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Especially recommend the salmon puffs and the mushroom fried rice.

shared a few bites and drinks with friends for a birthday and at the end of the night when lights turned on we came across 2 rats dashing through the dinning room , we immediately had to get up and leave , surprising no one really seemed to be surprised and honestly didn’t care that we got scared even panicked because we were in a corner table. Really wished that didn’t happen because the night was going well. Seemed to had been nothing new too staff.

The food was absolutely amazing and came out quickly. The drinks were just as impressive. Our server, Solomon G, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire meal. Overall, a great experience — highly recommend!

We have a monthly couples dinner where we try some of the best/new restaurants in Boston. I hadn't heard of Mr H, but trust the choices of the group are always good so I was excited. The location feels like a hole in the wall spot, but in the heart of the Seaport. The interior feels like a glitzy Chinese speakeasy, adorned with over the top decor with gold everywhere and cozy nooks that give a sense of privacy. The food was upscale Chinese, like a mix of your local take-out joint and a white table cloth restaurant / cocktail bar. Everything was delicious, with the soup dumplings and noodles as standouts. Cocktails were excellent. Service was attentive and helpful. Overall we had a great time. Recommended for an upscale and comforting experience with shared plates and flavors that will surprise, but also feel familiar.
Excellent food, presentation and service. Every plate was delicious.

Restaurantji Recommends
Staff was rude when I walked in, never even sat down, turned around and left. Too many other good places nearby to deal with that.

Had reservations on Saturday night for a small birthday celebration. Check-in was quick, and the place was absolutely packed. The service was quite slow, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a quick meal.
I noticed the table next to us being asked to leave because their time was up and the next reservation had arrived, even though they hadn’t had a chance to order dessert yet, as one of the other patrons mentioned. That was a bit surprising to see.
The food was just okay. The flavors were bold, but I found it odd that they don’t offer plain white rice, even though fried rice is on the menu. The ambience is beautiful, though the space feels a bit tight.
One disappointment was that there was no acknowledgment of the birthday, even though it was noted on the reservation.
Overall, it’s a nice spot for a special occasion. The drinks were great. I’m not in a rush to go back, but I’d return to try more of their cocktails.
