I have ordered dozens of these and they are delicious HOWEVER several have been dry as cardboard. One was crushed but not the box just the cake. I just got one today and again DRY. How can this be. Please answer me. I did order from QVC and called once and got a credit. Love them but AFRAID to order again for the high price.

We ordered 2 of the original walnut coffee cakes for the holidays. They did not dissapoint! After all these years still delicious. Our first order was well over 20 years ago and the coffee cake is still just as good. So VERY moist. Robin was a gem when I had to add to my online order. Bonus was when coffee cakes arrived earlier than promised. So sincerely thankful for such a flawless experience.

Received this cinnamon coffee cake as a gift from my Morgan Stanley financial advisor so I was expecting it to be good. However, it was not good, but GREAT. Seriously, this is the best coffee cake I have had in my 62 years of life. I especially loved that it was neither overly sweet nor overly spiced or nutted. Usually, I tend to think more is good, but this amazing tasty cake has lightly sprinkled cinnamon sugar and only a thin line of nut cinnamon swirl. Absolutely perfect.

I have ordered several times and always have one in my freezer to serve. Delicious. They have an easy to use website with several cake options.

PLANE TIPS: I bought a coffee cake as a gift for some family, and I packed it in my carry-on luggage. Here's what I learned: The cake travels very well and is an excellent thing to bring on a long flight. But pack it on the top of your carry-on because my suitcase got flagged by TSA. Turns out, the cake was so dense they needed to take it out and swab the box. It was a pain to repack it in the middle of security. My family loved that I brought them a Boston cake, it was a treat. It was a good gift. Everyone said it was good, VERY sweet, and the best coffee cake they've ever had. But it wasn't the best *cake they've ever had. Do I need to bring another one next time? Naw. 5 stars because I have no regrets and would recommend.

I’m looking to send one of Grandma’s cakes as a gift. Though I’ve heard how good they are, I’ve never tasted one. What flavor do you recommend for a first-time trier?

Using My Grandma's website, I ordered a coffee cake of the month gift for my dad ($399) as a Christmas gift in Early December. This was the second year I ordered because my dad loved the coffee cakes. The next morning My Grandma's called me to say they no longer sell the coffee cake of the month (even though it was on their website and they charged my credit card). I said okay and asked that they refund my card. THEY NEVER DID. I had to dispute it with my credit card, and I'm not sure they ever responded to the dispute either. They had until Feb 11 to respond. I finally got a notice yesterday that the dispute was resolved in my favor, and I think it's because My Grandma's just never responded. To summarize: My Grandma will take money, admit that they won't provide the product, but NEVER give a refund.

Hands down some of the best coffee cake you can find in the world

I'm often somewhat skeptical of two things: bakery products and mail-order food, sometimes to the point of being "allergic" to them. Especially when advertised as "world's best" of similar flattering words. Recently I was gifted a Grandma's of New England Coffee Cake. It was a thoughtful gift and I managed to overcome my "allergy" mostly because it was well-packaged and actually looked good. My initial reaction to cutting was to note that it was fresh and moist. There seemed to be a well-balanced amount of cinnamon and nuts too. I have to be honest, though, I was not bowled over by the flavor when eating the first slice. It was good but not great. The next day, after the cake was sitting on the counter overnight, unwrapped and enclosed in the box, I had a second piece and it was FANTASTIC. Not sure what made the difference but all of the sudden I understood the "world's best" advertising. I do have two concerns, though, which would not stop me from eating this product but does make me scratch my head. One is that the box had no "use by" or "produced on" date. There were several instructions about how long it could be kept under differing conditions but no date from which to compute "best storage". The other is that there seems to be an awful lot of emulsifiers, etc, with chemical-like names in the ingredients list. I'm sure they contributed to the delightful texture and probably to the product longevity, but for something advertised as having no this, that, or the other thing I really had to wonder. All-in-all, though... a good product from a very intriguing company.

Two of our oldest customers recently got married at the Indianapolis airport and then hopped on a plane to fly and share their joy back in New England with all of us. they sat with a young man and after hearing of how they had literally just got married he offered to send them a coffee cake from a bakery his family worked at. We love random acts of kindness and the thoughtfulness of him and this company to send them a coffee cake to celebrate their wedding is so incredible. We will be making sure to recommend everyone purchase a coffee cake from here!

I received my cinnamon walnut cake today, from QVC. Upon, opening it, it was full of BUGS!!! Not, ants. I don't know what they are. I, threw it all outside, before the bug's, infiltrated my house.
