We were craving Korean food late at night, and Myung Dong 1st Ave immediately came to mind because it stays open late.

This restaurant perfectly captures the vibe of a classic Korean club and restaurant, making it the ideal spot for enjoying drinks and delicious Korean food.

We ordered spicy tofu soup, kimchi scallion pancake, chicken gizzards, wings, and hot pot noodles. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the pancake and chicken gizzards. The flavors were so authentic that we fell in love with this place.

We even order from them online once in a while whenever we’re craving Korean food.

We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Korean food and a fun atmosphere!

Went here for new years with a group of 8 friends and had a wonderful time!

We were helped out by Jennifer who was by far one of the sweetest, most memorable servers I’ve ever had. She was so funny, outgoing, and engaging and made our dinner there special and super fun.

We were also helped out by Cho who was very sweet too!

All in all a fantastic time : super affordable for even huge parties like ours. 10/10 would recommend and I will absolutely be back soon!

The vibe of this place fun! Extensive drink menu, K-pop videos, and really really good food. Service was attentive and helpful. Great for groups, this place is spacious. We walked in, two adults and a toddler, on a Friday night and at first was a little hesitant like, hmm this is kind of a drinking place. But we had a great time! It was fun to people watch and reminisce about our college days! And our toddler enjoyed the videos and the waitress very kindly gave him a treat on the way out. Great place all around!

This restaurant is close to my house and I frequently pass it. Whenever I do, it is full of happy guests and fabulous food. My friend and I decided to try it ourselves yesterday and it was the best decision of my entire Friday! The food is fresh and delicious, I got the Tempura tteokboki and my friend got the kimchi stew. Everything was gorgeous and the service was attentive and impeccable. We had the best time ever sitting here drinking beer and watching music videos, and my only regret was that I got too full to finish my food!! I highly recommend Myung Dong.

I’ve been coming for years and this is my go-to restaurant in Allston. I used to live around the corner, but I still stop by when visiting Boston even though I moved away. I’ll be honest, the staff is usually stretched thin and it’s hard to get anything else once you’ve received your food, but the staff is never unpleasant or unhelpful, just busy. We got used to ordering anything we needed up front and allowing more time than usual for a dinner.Food has been consistently great (we usually get bulgogi, bibimbap, and some apps) and ALWAYS get the watermelon cocktail. We affectionately refer to “the boozemelon place” to the point that my phone autocorrects “boozemelon” as a real word.Honestly I’m a little bummed haven’t checked out more Korean restaurants in the area because we’re always excited to just come here.

It is a great spot for drinking and having some hot Korean food. They have a huge menu full of Korean comfort foods. They are very strict on ID even though you look older, they will still check it. The fried chicken here is really good as well as the steamed egg, kalbi, kalbi tang and sweet cheese corn. They offer a variety of soju flavors. If you're coming here with a group of friends, definitely get the watermelon soju. Also, they do birthday shots (6 colorful shots) for the bday person with a loud bday song which is always cool to see. The only thing is that the k-pop music is so loud sometimes I just want to wear earplugs. Otherwise, a great place for eating and drinking with friends.
