One of the worst dining experiences we've ever had in Boston. The mixed drink I had was terribly sweet, the salad dressing tasted like pure white vinegar, my wife's entree was mooshy eggplant and mostly cheese with a Ragu tasting sauce and my spaghetti carbonara tasted like it came from a Kraft frozen food box...oh and the bread was stale. They play loud obnoxious music and you cannot even hear the conversation. The wait staff was fine but I'd never go back or recommend this place. We eat out often and Nico is the bottom of the barrel!
As always- great experience! The meatball app is amazing as is everything else we have had there! Definitely our “go to” place.
It was good. A little tight seating wise. You can tell they make they make their own pasta. The cheese wheel was fun and the workers were friendly. They also brought my sister and the table all shots for her birthday! Very nice. My family was pleased.
The host was very welcoming and friendly. He was probably my favorite part of the whole experience. The restaurant was extremely loud and packed in. They clearly prioritize maximizing the capacity of the building vs the experience of their customers. We ordered the antipasto appetizer, I feel like it was a couple slices of deli meat with a jar of pickled vegetables poured on top of it. It wasn’t anything special. The porcini ravioli was amazing though! I’ll definitely be going for lunch next time, hopefully it won’t be as loud.

Fantastic experience. Great service, great people, and great food. Will go again with my boys.
Food was amazing, service was excellent. But if your looking for a romantic evening or even a nice night out with another couple plan on it being very noisy there.
Can always count on this place for quality food. The 90 minute dining policy can make you feel a little rushed, and had our waiter a little nervous, but I understand. The meal was excellent.
Friendly staff who were attentive and knowledgeable. Food choices were served hot and delicious. Portions very satisfying. Group of 4 all enjoyed our meals!
Everything was amazing. They did have someone sing Italian opera, which was beautiful. I just wasn't expecting it. And it was very loud next to us, and hard to have conversations. Other than that, our food was delicious, service was amazing!
Everything was great. The only issue was they don't offer desert. Seems like they might be more interested in turning over the tables than extending dinner. Had I realized that early on I likely would have ordered an additional appetizer instead of saving room for a non existent desert.

Loved Nico and the food was amazing!! small place but like every place in the north end very small, but great food and great people!!
Amazing spot! Would highly recommend, right in the north end with amazing food and atmosphere.
The food was amazing Nico, besides the fact that if you are seated in the basement they cannot do the special cacio e Pepe in the downstairs section of the restaurant , and I had picked this restaurant for that experience . You pay 35 $ for cacio e Pepe and that's including the experience of having it cooked infront of you, so even if you just have it made and brought down to you, you get charged for the full experience. Other then that service was very quick and fast even thought they were packed , but especially if you are sitting downstairs, prepared to be sitting in persons lap to the table next to you. We were seated the table closest to the bathroom, and they only have one bathroom for both genders so our entire time dining us and the table next to us were being stared down by the women and men waiting online for the bathroom.
Food was very good, our only disappointment was that when the meal was over and we asked to see a dessert menu they said they didn't have any desserts. Kind of felt they were more interested in getting the tabled turned so they could sell more dinners than having us finish our meal off with dessert. Had we know there was no dessert option we might have ordered an additional appetizer.
Absolutely the best!! The pasta is all handmade and delicious. The place was fun and had someone singing also. 10 out of 10.
