OMG, a hidden local gem. Amazing ice cream and very cute little candy store. Has the historical feel. I bet it will bring nostalgia to some people. The Matcha strawberry ice cream was one THE best Matcha I've had. The pistachio had real pistachio in it that you actually chew the nuts. The pecan maple syrup was disappointing. Just tasted bland. Unique flavors (wasn't expecting milk tea, strawberry matcha, and Thai tea in North End) and large portion sizes. I wasn't a fan of the mint chocolate chip -- overly sweet, chocolate chips are small, and mint flavor was not strong. The milk tea ice cream was pretty good. The strawberry matcha was a bit icy. Overall it was too sweet for me -- the sample size was enough for me.
I had the espresso Oreo and raspberry chip. The Espresso Oreo had a lot of grind up coffee beans in it that I felt were overwhelming and made the texture gritty. I wish it had more Oreos than espresso. I liked the raspberry chip more as it had a good refreshing fruity flavor and creamy texture. Good ice cream, but not the best I’ve ever had.
