North Street Grille is a nice brunch diner. However a few things happened during our experience which made the experience fall short from 5 stars.

We made a brunch booking for 2 pm on Sunday (11/9/25) and for our booking we noted that it was for a special occasion, our wedding anniversary and asked for anything to be done to just make the day extra special. Nothing was done to accommodate this request, not even acknowledged. This was a shame and a missed opportunity.

Regardless, the food was good - we ordered the chicken waffle sliders and the special blueberry cheesecake french toast. They both tasted very nice, portions were large but we managed to get through both whilst sharing with each other. A critique to the chicken waffle sliders was that it became quite dry, it was meant to come with siracha mayo of some sort but it was quite sparse, adding hot sauce just about made up for it. The blueberry cheesecake french toast was really nice and sweet, it could pass with the extra maple syrup because adding that makes it quite sickly. Overall the food was nice and portions were large.

Overall service was good, we were welcomed upon our arrival, guided to our seats and our waiter came by often offering refils for our drinks and checking in.

Next, the atmosphere, this place is just too crammed and busy. To get to my seat it was quite a squeeze because the tables were so close to each other. Removing about 2-3 tables from the seating plan would have made the arrangement more comfortable for both staff and guests, literally only one person could fit in the walkway at any given time. Another note, because there is so many people, music and kitchen in such close proximity, it was quite loud, so having a conversation was quite difficult.

Overall we rate North Street Grille 4/5 stars, the food was nice, atmosphere quite busy and cramped which isn't great for a date but maybe better for brunch with friends, service made up for the experience.

Best brunch restaurant with so many brunch options! The banana bourbon waffles are amazing and the home fries are crunchy and delicious. Loaded mashed potato omelette was to die for! Fresh coffee, best service and really good people!

It was one of the best breakfasts I've had. Tried my best to finish the pancake burrito.

My family and I visited North Street Grille during a recent trip to Boston. The wait was a bit long, but totally worth it! The restaurant is small, which explains the line, but the food more than makes up for it. I had the chicken and waffle sandwich with home fries, an adult salted caramel shake, and a blueberry cobbler pancake. Everything was fresh and tasty. My family had different variations of omelets and they seem to enjoy their selections too.

The real standout, though, was the banana bread! Every table gets a sample, and after one bite I had to buy a loaf to take with me. It became my breakfast for the rest of my trip, absolutely amazing warm or cold. Definitely a must-visit brunch spot in Boston!

Tiny place with a big menu and generous portions. Friendly staff. Recommend the scrambled and cheddar with sausage.

We had to wait a bit before we were able to eat there, but we were able to walk around and they texted us when our table was ready. The restaurant is small and cramped, but it is all worth it for the AMAZING food. I got one of their specials - Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich with sweet potato fries and it was absolutely what you want for Thanksgiving. I also got a side of the Crudite French Toast - absolutely the best thing I ate while in Boston. The picture is just a side of it, so it would be even bigger as a whole entree, but you don't need more than a side. It was rich and creamy and sweet and perfect. I am not normally a person that orders french toast when I go out to eat, but I am so glad I did. Everyone loved their food here and some even tried the espresso martini flight and really enjoyed those too.

Horrible experience! Waited in a long line in the rain ( which was nobody's fault) and waited until we got to the front of the line to inform us their credit card machine wasn't working and would be cash only. After finding an ATM several streets away, we sit for breakfast. The pancakes were tough as leather. I used several containers of syrup and butter just to soften the pancakes. I eventually sent the pancakes back and received anothe 3. The next batch of pancakes were just as tough. The waitress was very nice and the service was great, but the pancakes were tough. My bill was was 58 dollars for breakfast for 2 and we didn't get a decent meal. The eggs and sausage were ok but the experience as a whole was horrible

We came in for a very tasty breakfast. I loved the BLT benedict, and the orange juice was very fresh. Portions are huge! I saw people sitting next to me that barely touched their main entrees, because they ordered appetizers too.

Service was excellent. The place is small, so it's likely you will be sitting very close to other diners.

We looked for a place to have a late breakfast before the days adventures and decided to get a reservation the day before to give them a try. The restaurant was busy but not crazy like during a weekend. We sat right away and everyone from the host to our server were friendly and attentive.

The restaurant is small (as with most cities with small places) but we did not mind.

As for food we ordered the scrambled and cheddar on a croissant, 2 eggs with turkey sausage, mixed greens (extra) and a pancake (extra), latte (they only have regular milk) and a regular coffee.

We did not get to try their complimentary piece of banana bread, but the food was fresh, made to order, flavorful and a good portion.

Definitely give them a try for a good breakfast in Boston!

avoided all the tourist trap stalls open in quicy market/fanueil mall marketplace and decided to check this place out for the 'best brunch in boston'. this place is really popular, went without a reservation and had to wait 15/20 mins on a thursday morning but they do take walk ins which is good. really expansive menu with plenty of options to suit anyone, we tried the french toast breakfast sandwich and the check and waffle sliders, both were pretty tasty and came with some well seasoned potato wedges on the side. service was a bit slow but it was super busy in there so thats to be expected
