We popped in for wine and bread before a comedy show, it was busy and lively. Luckily, we snagged two seats at the bar. This place is worth visiting for the history and charm alone.
The wine was average for the price, but the bread was phenomenal.... warm, fresh, and the highlight of our visit. The service was friendly despite the crowd. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed.
I’d love to return for dinner next time to experience the full menu!
To be honest, we were quite disappointed with the service we received when dining at Oak Long Bar & Kitchen. We were seated at one of the reserved tables for a 9pm reservation (I’ve been to the bar many times but this was my first time at a table). Over the course of an hour, our server came to our table every 5 or so minutes. She pushed us to order more food and also pushed us to close our tab at 9:30, saying that she “clocked out at 10” (the implication was that she wanted to make sure she got her tip). For a 9pm reservation, it felt completely ridiculous to be pushed through our meal from the moment she came to our table. We spoke to management regarding the situation and they took 2 drinks off our total bill (we were a group of 5) but truly left with a bad taste in our mouths. I was beyond excited to finally sit down and have the “full experience” here but I’m not sure I’ll ever return after this.

The Oak Long Bar & Kitchen is located in the Copley Plaza Hotel and it is very , very nice. My girlfriend and I had stopped in for a wine tasting and then had an espresso martini and it was delicious. The truffle fries were amazing.

My recent dining experience at OAK Long Bar + Kitchen was overall very good, highlighted by delicious food and a warm, inviting atmosphere that made for a pleasant evening.
From the moment I walked in, the ambiance stood out — cozy lighting, comfortable seating, and a lively yet relaxed vibe that perfectly suits a special night out or a casual dinner with family.
The food was the real star of the evening. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The grilled shrimp was exceptional — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The lobster roll was rich and satisfying, while the grilled chicken was tender and juicy. The bouillabaisse offered a nice mix of seafood flavors, and the warm sourdough bread was a comforting start to the meal. For dessert, the chocolate mousse was decadent, but the skillet cookie truly stole the show — warm, gooey, and packed with chocolate. It was the perfect sweet ending.
However, the service left something to be desired. Our waitress was often hard to find, and the pacing of the meal could use improvement — all the dishes arrived at once, rather than being served in the usual appetizer-to-entrée order. A bit more attention and coordination from the staff would have elevated the experience even further.
Despite the service hiccups, I would definitely recommend OAK Long Bar + Kitchen for its excellent food and inviting atmosphere. With a little improvement in service, it could easily become one of the best dining experiences in the city.

Great space with old school bartenders.

We had an allergic reaction because of them!
We notified the staff about an allergy to garlic and onion, but they served us garlic butter anyway. We complained and asked the waitress to try it. She agreed it had garlic, and wasn’t honey butter. The manager was not helpful at all, he just kept stating it was honey butter and refused to even taste it! We felt unheard, disappointed, and ended up having an allergic reaction. Do not recommend!

Way way too loud. For the upscale atmosphere and experience they should have been playing classical music softly in the background. Instead it was the boom boom dance music like you'd get from a wedding reception. Really unexpected from a Fairmont hotel chain. A lot of work and effort laid waste by excess noise.
Cauliflower and brussel sprouts, which were delicious.

This is one of our go-to places for Sunday brunch. This time they were particularly slow. Other than that, aside from the very high prices, this place is fairly solid.
After a long day of travel decided to have dinner in our hotel's restaurant. Menu was streamlined yet varied. Service was attentive and professional. Food was delightfully tasty and arrived at the table hot. Having dinner there again this evening. The only less than positive observation was the time from our order being taken to food delivery 45+ minutes.
