First time dining here and it was outstanding! Started with the grilled carrots which were charred but not dry. My wife and I split two entrees - the salmon and the duck breast. Very thick cut of salmon was incredibly tender and moist, but finished to be crisp. Not sure exactly how it was cooked (sous vide and then blitzed? I don't know...). Salmon came with a nice cold mix of spring veggies and chickpeas and herbs. Duck breast was beautifully done and the mashed sweet potatoes that accompanied it were to die for! Our son had a steak which he thoroughly enjoyed and was cooked to order. We had wine by the glass which complimented the entrees nicely. Excellent service and very interesting space.

We are heartbroken that Oak & Rowan is closing. Every single time we went to this establishment it was an amazing experience. The General Manager, Cassie is outstanding and and always remembered us and made sure we had a wonderful experience. All the wait staff, bartenders, and kitchen staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel like family. Oak and Rowan will be missed. People should check out their sister restaurant in Newburyport, Brine.

Outstanding food, soft but lively atmosphere. Accommodating staff was able to get us seated early. We enjoyed the oysters, octopus, beef tartar, duck tortellini, and the Rohan Duck. Dessert was amazing, something with rhubarb. Only thing that was not as I expected were the pickles. No biggie. Great place would highly recommend.

Food: This place focuses on food. Its creative and the menu is full of items that I would not be able to create at home. Service: our server was truly amazing. Extremely engaging is a very positive way. helped to navigate a couple annoying allergies that I have. Truly over the top. Drinks: The cocktails were pretty awesome too. Helpfully listed by primary alcohol. Overall: A great experience.

Delicious food, excellent service with great recs for both food and wine pairing. Really liked the decor and vibe, noise level was equivalent to a typical dinner party, not at all intrusive to our table's conversation. Presentation was visually appealing and the menu innovative (oysters with lemongrass and lime mignonette!). Will definitely come back.

Our party of six ordered very nearly everything on the menu - every dish was well conceived and well executed. There is an interesting mix of dishes, an excellent bar and a very knowledgeable wine waiter/som.

I really enjoyed my evening here at oak and Rowan! Seaport has really developed since I was last in Boston. Oak and Rowan has a trendy vibe with plenty of wood-forward decor. Makes for a nice date spot! There is the necco street parking garage nearby which makes this very convenient as well. We started with the oysters, their delicious olive focaccia bread, and beef tartare. The beef tartare was hands down my favorite appetizer - well seasoned with a garlic aioli and fresh chives sprinkled on top. The oysters had a green oil flavoring over the top which added a bit of a bitter aftertaste that was not my cup of tea, but others in my party enjoyed it. The focaccia bread was soft, airy, and delectably seasoned. For mains, we got the duck tortelli (slightly larger than your usual tortellini) and the Rowan's duck. They do duck very well. I loved the breast pieces with slightly crispy duck skin, rendered fat. The duck confit leg was delicious as well, but slightly dry for me. Paired well with the sweet potato. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake was a great round out for our dinner. We would definitely come back, even just for the drinks and beef tartare! Yum!

The food at Oak and Rowan is among my favorite in Boston - I've been half a dozen times, and it's consistently amazing. The rotating menu means that there's always something new to try as well!

We decided to give Oak+Rowan a second try and we're so glad we did. They certainly did not disappoint. The staff was great, and it was evident they worked very well as a team. Every dish was delicious and plated to perfection. Already looking forward to experiencing Oak+Rowan again! NB: I was very impressed by the use of cold stones with the oysters. Traditional plating is on a bed of ice, which I feel is water waste. I love seeing businesses keep sustainability and local food sourcing at the forefront.

My wife and I dined out during a meeting at the Convention Center. A convenient walk including a flight of stairs from Summer St down to A St. The food, service and food were all exceptional. All of the dishes had a wonderful range of taste combinations. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef composed beet and carrot appetizers with 2 mains of scallops and fish stew at the recommendation of our server, Aline. She was always there when needed but not overbearing or hovering. Her recommendations were apot on. Both desserts onnthe menu were excellent. We'll be coming back tomorrow!

Great tasting food and a nice environment. The food looked as good as it tasted. A bit pricy but worth it for a special occasion.

Excellent and creative food. Attentive but not rushed service. Comfortable booths, lots of great seating options overall. I like the snacks and small bites best. Wish I lived closer so I could call this my neighborhood spot!

To the owner who replied: I have no way to reply to your message in Google Maps, sorry. I tried to explain everything on my review over on OpenTable, but it was deleted, so I gave up and left a quick blurb. Happy to dialogue further, if you'd like. Thanks!

Nice enough experience. Waitstaff was good, atmosphere was very nice. But the food is overpriced for what you get. I got $46 steak that I expected to be amazing, but in a blind taste test I would have said it came from Outback. Probably won't go back.
