Overall good experience. The food was delicious. And some dishes were fun such as the flaming salmon. However, we are spoilt living in Bermuda and the sushi itself was not as good as we are used to. But that is not a reflection on this restaurant - as we have set a high bar. The location itself was marked down also. A long corridor style restaurant. Meaning that one side of the table faced the wall. Which made it harder to feel the atmosphere. Take someone you like to look at.

We had the multi-course menu item with the drink pairing, and everything was delicious, fun, and well executed.

9 course omakase with wagyu was delicious!!! And we have had a lot of omakase's all about the world. Extremely filling. Come hungry!

Overall awful experience. First, we had a young child in our party and we were not told that they did not have a high chair or booster seat until after we were sat. We specifically asked for this upon check in. Second, there were two separate occasions that were placed food orders and the food was not delivered. Upon learning about the missed food the server basically told us it was what it was and disappeared for a long period of time. The food we did get was mediocre at best. There are many places in Boston to get better quality food for the price. Finally, the table across from us ordered a menu item that was seemingly self cooked on a table top grill. When they cooked their food the smoke it created was so copious and thick it smoked out the entire seating area we were in. As this section of the restaurant is downstairs on basement level with drop ceiling and lighting there was no ventilation to remove said smoke. It literally made our eyes water and our clothes smell of smoke. We did not have any manager interaction even though we were clearly having a less than ideal experience. Bad service, mediocre food, and overall an unpleasant atmosphere make for an an awful experience.

This was our second time dining here and it didn't disappoint. We ordered the Japanese Wagyu for an appetizer and the Omakase with wine/sake pairing. The Sashimi was super fresh and the chefs selection for the Omakase was creatively prepared with various flavors and fish. I know some viewers say it's quite expensive which it is, but well worth the price based on the quality of the fish. My favorite dishes were the Wagyu and the Salmon on Fire. If I had any negative comments it would be they don't make good mixed drinks, i guess it's not something you would order in a Japanese restaurant, not a big deal. Service could have been a bit better, but the restaurant was quite full as a result of several events going on over the weekend. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.

We had an outstanding lunch at Oishii. The sushi and appetizers were outstanding, as was the service.

We only went for drinks but joining for food next time is on our list. The barman was kind and attentive, what more can one ask?

Delicious sushi, everything looked great, service was a little reserved. Cost to service may be a little mis-matched.

One of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to and there have been quite many over the years.

Well, I must say, this was quite the disappointment. $200 for a mere five-course Omakase (2 tiny appetizer, 5 nigiri, 1 small steak(about the size of 2 fingers, three slices of salmon, 1 dessert)? That’s highway robbery! The fish wasn’t even fresh, the portions were laughably small, and that wagyu steak—very thick so it would be too greasy. And don’t get me started on the lighting—so dark I could barely see my plate. Back in my day, a fine meal came with quality and fair pricing. This? Not even close.

If you have too much money and have no idea where to spend them, this is the place for you. Ridiculously overpriced, 200$ per person omakase for 2 appetizers, 5 pieces of nigiri and a undercooked wagyu steak, thats it. Lastly a message to the chef: putting a shit ton of truffle on everything doesn't make them good. Overall terrible experience

I visited Oishii with a small work group for a holiday celebration and we had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—very attentive, made thoughtful recommendations, quick to refill water glasses, etc. and the food was delicious. I specifically enjoyed the Crispy Vegetable Dumplings, and the Shrimp Explosion and Japanese Yam Tempura Speciality Maki. We were far too full for dessert but decided to “just take a look”…and of course had to try a couple. The green tea layered cake (cannot remember the exact name) was absolutely delicious—would highly recommend! All in all a great meal. Quite expensive overall, so will make it an only-for-special-occasions restaurant, but would return (and likely order a similar slate of entrees).
