The irony is that all my companions tonight were not fans of either whiskey nor raw seafood, the two specialties of Citizen Public House, but thankfully all the other food and drink options were plentiful and very delicious! The spicy deep fried pickles were super addictive, the endive winter salad was so flavorful with a very nose-tingly horseradish dressing, cauliflower cream pan fried gnocchi was divine, and especially enjoyed the duck pot pie with root veggies. Our server was so charismatic, attentive and kind. Could not recommend coming here enough! And would love to come back and try their raw seafood bar :)

Nice ambience (we sat at the bar), though a bit too dark for my aging eyes! Tasty cocktails and good food - we shared a frisee/endive salad and fish-and-chips (very fresh fish, crisp coating, good fries). Recommended for a cocktail and a bite in the Fenway area. Bonus: less expensive than Eastern Standard.

My friends and I loved Our Fathers’ brunch when the restaurant was in Allston and were very excited to go back today. However, upon showing up, the restaurant was closed, lights off, no signs, nothing on website or social media. Please - if you’re not open, update *something* so patrons know to dine elsewhere.

We had a great experience. Shrimp toast along with the cod loin and duck confit pot pie were outstanding. A great whiskey list that we will happily try to dive further into on our next visit.

The seafood options are absolutely divine! Love everything about this place- from the portions, the ambiance and the service. Prices are a bit on the higher end, but there is value for what you're paying for. I can appreciate that. Highly recommended!

This has to be literally the most disgusting ruben/sandwich I have ever had. The meat is cheap processed trash. It is stangely sweet and tastes nothing like a Ruben does. For 23 bucks I expected a legit Ruben not the grease pile I got with an awful pickle. My wife's steak and cheese was more of the same. Garbage meat and cheese wiz.Do yourself a favor and don't go here. It killed me to throw $50+ worth of food into the garbage after taking two bites and would hope someone else doesn't have to feel the same sting.

I was in Boston for one night and decided to stop in for dinner because it was across from when I was staying (The Verb, an awesome rock n roll hotel). I sat at the bar and found the restaurant to be my type of place, with dark wood and natural lighting. The bartender gave me excellent suggestions from the extensive whisk(e)y and spirits menu. I indulged in the Nikka Coffee Malt flight, which was excellent. I started with a half a dozen delicious local oysters (selection changes frequently) and then had the fish and chips as an entree; the fish was fresh and flaky, with just the right amount of crispy batter, complemented by nice crispy fries. Highly recommended.

I ordered delivery, and it's honestly the best delivery I've had in a long time. It seemed a little pricey at first, but the portions are huge, and the quality is so good that it's worth the money. The Italian is basically three sandwiches. The smashed cucumber salad was so good. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to stop by and eat in soon.

I had an okay sandwich and an okay drink here with a group of 3. My waitress was great, but then I got home and realized they double charged me. I went back and talked to the waitress again and she was very apologetic and involved her manager to refund me. They told me the refund would be back in a few days... it wasn't. When I called back to ask about it, the manager told me the waitress had double charged me because she said the 4th person at my table dined and dashed. There were only 3 of us and our receipt showed 3 sandwiches and 3 drinks!!! What???

Food was good but wicked overpriced. Staff was “nice” but not great. Really up to you if you think it’s worth it or not. I’d say it’s definitely not but hey you never know if you never
