Disgustingly overpriced and super underwhelmingOnly ever existed as a means to use your leftover meal swipes for the week when Northeastern wouldn’t let you use them anywhere else. You got 8 “points” for 1 swipe (roughly 19 bucks or so depending on your meal plan), and with those points you could afford maybe a small mediocre sandwich and like a bag of chips. I distinctly remember the 6 pack of 8-ounce water bottles cost the full 8 points, so like you would spend effectively $19 on what would have been a <$2 pack of water at any grocery or convenience store. The only time you should ever go here is if you’re a freshman and you’re forced to use the meal plan and it’s saturday and you have far too many swipes which will go away at the end of the week. Any other time, you would be crazy to do so.

Don't get the pizza.

Dude, Outtakes just sucks now. Their primary function is to provide meals, but it's really just used to pick up snacks now. I really don't eat there that often anymore, but when I do, I'm routinely grossed out. Lately I've been finding a lot of small bits of plastic or bone in both the Pasta w/Meatballs and the Burrito. I actually feel sick just writing this update to be honest. The days of grabbing some simple Veg Rice and Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches at Outtakes seem so far gone...

Outtakes is THE way to use up all those extra meal swipes at Northeastern. The have a lot of different drinks, meals and snacks to choose from as well as fresh fruits and veggies if you're feeling healthy. Some of my favorites? I'll always swipe for a few green tea & honey Honest Teas, their hummus & tabouleh w/ tortilla chips dish, pb & j, or tomato soup. But for non vegs, they've always got burgers, sandwiches and all kinds of salads. It's free grocery shopping for us essentially, so every now and then I'll also pick up some water bottles, fruit, tortilla chips, Lays or Oreos. Yay for dorm room snackage! The people who work there are pretty nice too. Beware Thursdays and Fridays there though. People start realizing they have too many meals left and the lines get crazy! So it's a 3.5 really: I'm a fan because I've got a meal plan.
