Good variety of sandwiches from $7.00-$9.50. Fresh coffee and you can get a bagel for less than $2 here. I’m not entirely sure why you’d go to the Subway next door over this place. Also the folks working here are great.

I was thrilled the Cafe was able to reopen in October. This is the only place in this area of Back Bay where you can get a sit-down, made to order breakfast at a reasonable price. Right now, they are more limited in some of their offerings as they build back their business, but most restaurants have the same situation to deal with. You can still get sandwiches at lunch and soups are back! Service is quick and friendly. Their coffee (I think it's the Downeast brand) has good flavor and won't cost you $5.00, but don't look for Lattes and Capuccinos on the menu. If you appreciate an old-fashioned "coffee shop" type restaurant, you will like this cafe. You place order at counter, and go up to pick it up when they call you. If you are more into places like Tatte, Stephanies, Life Alive and Thinking Cup, this would not be the right spot for you. Its a favorite with the office and construction workers in the area, as well as the students at Bay State College. Not fancy, just good food, good prices, good service. Owner is always there, working right alongside his staff. (It is INSIDE the Park Square Building, same building where Fire & Ice and Circle Furniture are located).
