Went to the Newbury street location and we walked out saying it was the best breakfast sandwich and coffee combined ever had. Went to this location and it blew our mind how bad it was. The fix breakfast sandwich barely had any of the pepper jam, the egg was a solid 1” thick and the best was that they didn’t even put any sausage on it. Chai tea? God awful tasted like water. Gluten free everything bagel? Nope they gave us Gluten free slices of BREAD. The owner of pavement coffeehouse should be straight up embarrassed with how the Boylston location is being ran.

I’m not one to review places, but I go here a lot and every time the workers are so rude and condescending. I get it, it’s busy a lot. but I’ve worked in a coffee shop that was busy constantly and I was also nice and attentive to customers. you’ll be in line waiting to get your mobile order/order in store and workers (who aren’t actively doing anything) will know you’re there and just ignore you. there’s been multiple instances when workers have made eye contact with me, but will go back to chatting with their coworkers instead of helping customers. ??
Ordered the egg and cheese sandwich subbed with the vegan cheese and egg. Was very disappointed to find that the ingredients were sloppily thrown together and not at all toasted. Also, the vegan cheese was still wrapped in plastic.

Meh, doesn’t always treat students the best and kind of crowded.

Food and coffee is good. Service is terribly slow. This is not your place to grab a quick morning coffee.

Food and atmosphere is great, but I have had multiple occurrences of ordering and then getting my food an hour later after asking twice. If you have an hour to spend on waiting for a seat and sitting there to get a delicious but massively overpriced coffee, this is the place for you. Honestly, i waited so long for that godforsaken 8 dollar coffee that, right hand to hashem, my croissant went stale. I've also heard of people not getting refunds for the food they waited hours for. The staff seem very nice, but if I had a kid, they would not be my first choice of babysitter, considering my kid would starve to death. If I could only warn feeble pre-pavement me to be very clear when I order coffee, and make sure that the put me on the queue. If you come here to study, get a pastry and water, do NOT bother ordering anything with a wait time. Very disappointed, pavement used to be much better with this.

I've been here dozens of times. Bagels are pretty good, coffee fine, service usually slow but considerate. Today I had a thirty minute break at work. I wanted a bagel. Got in line, no problem. The place is packed, no problem. It's 18 minutes since I've ordered and I have to be back in 5 minutes to work. Meanwhile a batista has repeatedly yelled at people for standing in front of a door and creating a fire hazard even when these people are not in front of the door. Everyone around me is whispering about this behavior, it is uncomfortable. I need to go so I ask for a refund. They say it will show up in 3-5 days but they don't do anything with the register or give me a refund receipt. I say "how do I know it will be refunded without a receipt?" They say their manager is only there on Mondays. They give me the receipt back and say to call the manager on Monday if I'm worried it will get lost. I ask how the manager will know that I didn't eat my food and just call for refund and their answer is "this is a place that cares about its customers." Hahahaha. Hahahahahahaha. I have no idea if I'm going to get my 14 bucks back. But I can tell you they will never ever get my money again which is the loss of 20-40 bucks a week.
great service, really kind barista. pumpkin spice latte was pretty good.

I absolutely love both Allston and here! Each has its own unique charm, but both offer fantastic coffee and friendly service. Highly recommend checking them out!

This place used to be great, but not anymore. Unreasonably expensive, not such good food, long wait and servers with attitude. There are better options.

It was a decent coffee shop. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. Everything about it, including service seemed average. I did enjoy the “Sunrise” bagel.

The BLT and Classic Turkey are a must try!
Took more than 20 minutes to prepare my order. Coffee was good but lukewarm by the time I got it. Disappointed.
