It was an average place, and we don’t think the experience justified the prices. We spend 100+tips We went there hoping to have great pasta in Boston, but the pasta was far below our “best pasta” expectations. Normally, I would give 3 stars but the servers, bartender and especially the host were very kind and welcoming. That’s why I’m giving four stars.

The muscles were ok pretty good!
I am writing to share my disappointment regarding our experience at your restaurant yesterday.
We had made a reservation for five people several days in advance and clearly mentioned at the time of booking that we preferred to be seated in the newly renovated area, as we were celebrating our anniversary. We were informed that this request could be accommodated since we were notifying you ahead of time.
However, when we arrived, we were told that the area was reserved for private events and could not be offered to us. This was quite upsetting, especially given the special nature of our occasion and the prior assurance we had received. By the time we were informed, we had already parked and arrived, and finding another restaurant that could accommodate five people at short notice was extremely difficult.
This experience left us feeling disappointed and undervalued as customers.

I arrived and, while waiting to ask for a table, I checked the online booking system, which showed a table available in 10 minutes. When I spoke to the hostess, she told me there were no tables available and suggested I sit at the bar, even though many tables were visibly empty.
While I was waiting for her to take me to the bar, another guest arrived with a reserved table and she attended to him, leaving me waiting without any explanation. When she finally returned, I realized on my own that no one was going to escort me to the bar.
I went there by myself, and the bar area was extremely overcrowded like sardines trying to squeeze in and find a seat. I decided to leave. I expect a restaurant to know how to serve its customers. This place is not for me. Terrible service.

It was my first time here, and the food was very delicious! We got the fig and prosciutto pizza and it was so flavorful and had a great crunch. My friends and I got different pastas and they all tasted fresh and yummy.

New years eve dinner. Very enjoyable. Not super packed, very relaxed. Food (pasta) and drink were very good, service was excellent. Absolutely no complaints.

My wife and I had dinner here and the experience was mediocre. We had the meatballs and bruschetta as starters and they were very good but the our pasta entrees were below average. My Cacio e Pepe was quite bland and watery. This dish is supposed to be thick and cheesy. My wife had the Bolognese and the pasta was way over cooked. I took a bit and it tasted like American chop suey. However, our server/bartender was great and the house Chianti was also very good. So, improving its pasta making technique would go a long way.

Restaurantji Recommends
We were walking Newbury street, and just went to the first restaurant, not checking any reviews. What a big surprise, the food was amazing and my parents had a great time. The Melanzana appetizer was so good, definitely a must try, also the Ravioli D’Aragosta was really spot on. The restaurant was very cosy and warm , and the service was great.

I ordered online and picked up my order. The lady at the front desk was very hostile to me and extremely slow, she kept asking me what I wanted and what platform did I use to order even though I told her and showed her multiple times. Will not come back.
I made reservations for my birthday at 5:30 we got our appetizer and a fly was on it, the water was dirty and the customer service was terrible we were miss treated by getting additude and complaints about moving our table we couldn’t enjoy our food because they came and told us we had to leave because another party arrived and had our table booked for 6:30 we didn’t even get to finsih our dinner we were rushed out and starred at weirdly by employees would NOT recommend the food want worth the price.

Superb 👌🏻
Managed to book an early dinner, busy Saturday night on Newbury St.
Found this restaurant by chance in the morning with a sign out front that says “Boston’s best pasta since 2001” big claims, so I was keen to find out.
Ordered for starters
Melanzana Affumicata - Crispy eggplants, smoked mozzarella cheese, truffled macchiata sauce, which was rich and flavourful but not overpowering.
The garlic bread sticks - which were slightly seasoned and beef and pork meatballs were superb, served in a marinara (tomato sauce), seasoned beautifully. Quite possibly the best restaurant based meatballs I’ve ever had!
Now for the pasta and after being recommended to try the lobster ravioli I was expecting big things. We also had the fusilli bolognese ragu with the same pork and beef from the meatballs.
Needless to say the fusilli were a hit pasta cooked perfectly and the ragu excellent. The Lobster ravioli cooked in a macchiata sauce and was a generous serving with good quality of lobster in each ravioli.
This was just as good as the meatballs, and wasn’t my first choice but was a recommendation by our server Paolo, who was excellent and checking in to ensure we were happy with his recommendations.
This place was a great find and a great experience. Pricing very reasonable for such good quality food and portion sizing very good.
Highly recommend.
