From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and treated like family. We kicked things off with their delicious minestrone soup and a caprese salad- pure bliss! Then came the main event: the gnocchi and their famous veal Parmesan. The gnocchi was light, pillowy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The veal Parmesan is a must-try masterpiece! Tender, light and perfectly breaded, it is covered in their delicious tomato sauce, which tastes just like my grandma used to make. For dessert, we indulged in their tiramisu, and it was the perfect sweet finale. The service was impeccable, the wine flowed beautifully with the meal, and every bite was a testament to the passion and skill poured into this little gem of a restaurant. Piccolo Nido is a North End treasure that I'll be returning to again and again. I must say that we read some of the negative reviews regarding the owner and have to say that he is an incredible host! Being a New York Italian- American, I can appreciate his quick wit and sense of humor that may be lost on others.

Food was delicious and the service was great. Best Tiramisu we ever had! The owner made a point to check-in with customers and thank personally. We will definitely return.

Lovely, quiet restaurant off the beaten path in the North End. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to add a seat to our table a few hours before our reservation. They were also accommodating when we asked to split a few dishes. The menu is not large, but offers plenty of variety, including vegetarian dishes. We ordered the mushroom crepe appetizer and it was delicious, I'd never had anything like it before. I had the bolognese with fusilli, also very good. We finished the evening with a couple of orders of Tiramisu, it was very light and not too sweet, perfect. If you're looking for a quiet restaurant in the North End where you can have good conversation and not be packed cheek by jowl, check out Piccolo Nido.

Had a wonderful experience! Shared the bruschetta with the table and it was fresh and tasty. I recommend the veal parmigiana, delicious! The owner was extremely welcoming and made me feel at home. A great place to celebrate an event such as a birthday.

My husband and I found this quaint restaurant on maps after finishing a very long whale watching tour. Even though we were wind blown tourists and didn’t have a reservation, they were able to accommodate us. The food was excellent and the staff was friendly. One of the staff even sang a few songs- in Italian- and he was very good! Thank you for helping us have a great anniversary dinner.

A true gem in a sea of amazing restaurants. Pino - the owner - has no trouble seating me with a backpack and duffel bag straight from the airport.

The hospitality is like being at his home - small but comfortable, high attention to detail to your needs, and meals that truly taste like what I had when I was growing up - fresh ingredients and made with love!

Do yourself a favor, make a reservation there and enjoy the hospitality of Piccolo Nido’s familiga. Salud!

So, I would have loved to have eaten here but I got turned down a meal to go because the restaurant had 2 tables that were going to be ordering meals and they felt it was too much to do. I should mention that I was carrying a baby at the time cause I was working as a doula at the moment. I had a short window of time to order a meal and get back while baby was still happy. So disappointed!

Probably one of the best and most authentic Italian restaurants we have ever been to. My fiancée and I are serious diners having been to all of the 3 star Michelin restaurants in NYC and Paris.
We highly recommend this restaurant. Great food, cozy atmosphere and very hospitable owner/chef/waiter, Pino.
The meatballs and sauce were superb, the best actually and we both had the chicken dish – Petti di Polo Carolina- wow, amazing!!

The food was really good and th service was top notch - it was just quite warm inside and the decor needs a little updating - but I would go back.

Excellent choice, off the beaten path of crazy Hanover street. Restaurant is small, intimate, great ambiance. Our waiter was extremely talented, first rate service, knowledgeable of menu and specials. Everyone got what they wanted, everything was fresh. The chef came out mid meal to check on us and introduced the bus boy who stopped what he was doing to serenade the dinning room not once but twice. Ir was an exceptional bonus. I would recommend and definitely going back when in the North End.

Came to Boston from out of state, was told to try a restaurant down the street which had a very long wait time, so we found this hidden gem. Fantastic food and service. Was the best tiramisu I have ever had. I would come back to Boston just for this tiramisu

We had a delicious meal at Piccolo Nido! A little off the beaten and crowded north end path, this is a lovely little authentic restaurant with a charming and family friendly ambiance. Owner and chef Pino is a gracious and entertaining host, we will definitely be back!
