The food is authentic and Pino is ever an engaging and entertaining host. My son insists on taking him and his friends there every year on his birthday.
We always have a great dining experience at Piccolo Nido. The food is always outstanding and we love the atmosphere. Pino makes us feel like we are family EVERY time and he is so generous! We love everything on the menu. It's a North End gem!
I wanted a place out of the main tourist area that was small and relaxed. Excellent food w/o a stuffy started atmosphere. THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Dined here 10/18/25. Family....that is what you will feel like after you leave. Totally satisfied and delighted with amazing food is how you will step away from the table. Not rushed with amazing service. The food quality is top notch. We had veal parm, porcini ravioli, and reguna pasta. The homemade pasta was incredible. The veal filled the plate and was so perefectly thin and tender. Some wine, some caprese, lots of smiles & laughs topped off with the lightest tiramisu. Perfect evening. Don't go anywhere else and make a reservation!!! Can't wait to go back.
We had the most wonderful dinner at Piccolo Nido. It is truly a hidden gem. My shrimp with risotto was one of the best risottos I've ever had. My daughter had the gnocchi; which was delicious. But the star of the dinner was my son's buttered noodles. I know that sounds crazy; but these were the best buttered noodles we had ever had! They were great with the kids and the atmosphere was perfect.
Hadn't been for a while. Food is terrific. Service excellent. The host and owner is a delight. My favorite north end restaurant.
From the moment we walked in, we were able to relax and reconnect. The service and food were excellent. I cannot wait to revisit.
We had a wonderful meal and evening at Piccolo Nido. The food was delicious, a gem in the North End. The Mushroom Ravioli were the best we have ever had, cooked perfectly. The Amatriciana and Caesar salad were delicious also. The owner was quite a character and we really enjoyed talking with him. Highly recommend the Tiramisu.
Food was delicious and fresh! They were very flexible and willing to accommodate some adjustments that a member of my party with specific dietary needs asked for. The service was prompt and thorough. Vibe was extremely chill and relaxed. It was a really lovely dinner!
When we arrived we were seated promptly and offered water and bread service. Our server was very attentive and came to check on us throughout the evening. The Insalata Caprese was very good, the Mozzarella cheese was delicious. Our food was amazing!! Definitely a hidden gem, we will make sure to return on our next trip to Boston. The Fishermen's Feast Festival was in full swing and it was great to listen to the music while we had dinner.
Excellent friendly service, good humor and very helpful. Chef visited the table to check on us, a welcome touch. Intimate quiet setting, very much a favorite of local customers but also welcoming to out of towners. Excellent food; sauces were subtle light and sweet. Pasta is homemade and delicious. Highest recommendation for leisurely conversation and excellent food.

Went here for my Mothers 60th birthday - place feels homey and casual but the service and food were top notch, chicken and veal parm were great. If you are looking for a hidden gem away from Hanover definitely give this place a try!
