Love the coffee. Always get the Italian roast. They grind it for you. Also spice and dried herbs. The dipping mix is great. Great old North End institution. M

I grew up in Charlestown Bunker Hill Projects and back in the day 1970's I use to always eat at Polcari's and the food and service are amazing.....The old school Italian may be lost in our Culture today but eat the once and you will get a glimpse into the heart of old school Italy.....Delicious....

A fun little hole in the wall on the North End. We really enjoyed browsing here. We bought some candy and some coffee. Husband loved the coffee!

If you're in the North End, DO NOT SKIP POLCARIS. They'll mix the beans for you if you want just the right flavor for you. In my case I'm widway from the Medium or Dark Roast. Tell them what you like and they'll blend the beans and offer to grind. Also have great oils, deserts, snacks.....if I'm brining in out-of-town friends, this is where I love to take them before we go for dinner.

the sort of old world charm you dream about when you visit the North End with the best freshly ground coffee you are going find anywhere in Massachusetts.

They have the best loose-leaf teas! I live a couple hours outside of Boston but I'll make a special trip in every 6 months or so to stock up.

I came here due to the Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour. Their lemon slush IS TO DIE FOR! I still dream of it!

Not the kind of shop I was looking for when I went to find a coffee, but I’m glad for it. While the coffee isn’t my preference, I appreciate the authentic feel — as well as the lemon slush cups!

Polcari’s has an old world vibe that is very rare in this day and age and Its one of my favorite shops in all of Boston for that reason and for the quality of the goods there. The coffee is excellent and in the summer the Italian lemon slush is incredible.
