Pre covid review: I had the veggie ditty, not sure what I was getting myself into. I was almost sick from eating the whole thing, so I'm not sure if I'm to blame eating too much or to blame the sweet bread with the cheese. It was an odd mix, that I don't want again. I also had the queen bee sweet popover which was supposed to have honey and lavender, and I didn't get either flavor. It tasted good, but really just because it tasted like creme and pastry.

Free popover ordered off grubhub. I was greeted right away by one of the owners who was extremely pleasant. The order fresh hot and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend those frequenting the new hubway/north station stop in for a popover!

Terrific concept. Great coffee and tea to start. We both had the Popover Benny. It was great without being too filling. The popover was so airy. Will go again when we make our next trip to Boston.

I was just off a flight at Logan and waiting for a plane, so I was looking for lunch and somewhere to spend an hour. I picked Popover King almost at random.

Popover tasted like pancake batter and was dense, not the traditional light, airy, buttery New England popover. I understand these are pre-made but we were disappointed. Fillings were well prepared, especially poached eggs which are not easy to make properly. Menu in store did not reflect all the options on their website or flyer. Perhaps that's why the place wasn't crowded during breakfast "rush." Food wasn't bad but I'm unlikely to try again.

Great food. Portions were surprisingly large. Two meals and drinks cost $28. Service was great. Perfect lunch spot or snack stop.

I visited this restaurant in the morning. I tried one of the breakfast specials. Scrambled eggs and bacon on top of a large split opened pop over, and coffee. This was different from the ordinary eggs and toast. The food was delicious. The pop over was prepared beautifully. Next time I will try a lunch pop over.

Great service! The food was AMAZING!! I was a popover virgin Lol I thought this would be similar to a croissant, but it's not! Looks crunchy, but super soft and delicious!

I've never had a popover before so I was curious to try what it was. The friendly staff that helped us described it much like a croissant, but less flaky. I'd also say with less butter taste than a croissant. I ordered the Pop 3 Eggs with ham with an iced coffee and my partner got a broccoli and chicken popover with lavender lemonade which was tasty. Both popovers were good in their own ways. My surprise was the price (Pop 3 was $9 and Broccoli $12). Then again I don't know what popovers go for these days ‍

Love this place!! Popovers rock!!! Freshly made, puffy deliciousness. Had the eggs Benedict and they were great. Will be back again next time I am in Boston.

This is a charming coffee shop. There is a nice selection of hot drinks and a decent breakfast menu. I arrived at a time when it was very slow. Many people walk by on their way to or from the T. I was happy to stop in as I prefer these type of coffee shops over a chain (e.g. DD or Starbucks). I ordered my latte and popover and popped over to a table to enjoy it. I was baffled by all those walking by and not realizing what a nice coffee shop they are missing. If you are in the area do not be afraid and head on in and enjoy a breakfast sandwich popover and one of many coffees. The real challenge is finding the trash can.

I came here for breakfast on a bracingly cold January morning and I really liked my food. They're all about popovers, which are a unique pastry-bread that resembles Yorkshire Pudding. I ordered the Pop Benny, but I was informed that they didn't have ham. She used sausage instead, and I thought I'd be disappointed but it tasted great. Consider that substitution even if ham is an option. Having it on a popover instead of an English muffin was cool. I also got a mocha; I am kind of a coffee noob, so I'm not a good judge of anyone's coffee. This was fine, but for the coffee and the Pop Benny I paid over $18. Boston prices I guess? Fine, but I'm not from Boston so I definitely think a caveat is in order about the prices. That said, that Pop Benny with sausage? Delicious.
