I decided to take a walk there on a very windy winter afternoon. It was not a disappointment. The lemon tart and macarons were delicious. Absolutely, the best macarons in Boston. Can't wait to go back to try the breakfast pastries.

A delightful little bakery tucked away next to the Marseille building. I tried the butter croissant, the Nutella babka, the pain aux raisins, the danish (both apricot & blueberry), and lemon madeleines. Everything was very fresh and delicious. My only suggestion is to add a tad more of the pastry cream to the pain aux raisins - while the croissant dough layers were buttery and flavorful, I am confident that an extra dollop of the pastry cream will make the inside of the bun more flavorful. Also, is it too presumptuous to suggest to pre-soak the raisins? They will be extra juicy and plump in the pain aux raisins. I didn't try the coffee or the bread but I look forward to returning to sample those. The young man behind the counter was very lovely and helpful.

Good news! They changed their staff and now the service (with a smile) is excellent! Nice neighborhood spot I go there often now.

Finally a great boulangerie in the South End. The bread is fantastic as are the croissants & such. However it's the cakes that take the prize. So so good!

This little gem is tucked away in the lobby next to the Marseille restaurant outdoor patio. Make no mistake though, it's worth a visit. Raised in France, it's been hard to find good viennoiseries in Boston in general and in the South End in particular. While I enjoy all matters of baked goods, the yard stick remain the Croissant and the Baguette, both staples of french bread and viennoiseries...and guess what, they're delicious there. I've also enjoyed their macarons, pain au raisains and Brittany specialty, the Kouign-amann. Definitely a great addition to the neighborood.Kid-friendliness: Kids will adore these baked goods!

I ordered two cappuccinos and what I received was a boiling hot something that didn’t resemble a cappuccino at all. It was basically not drinkable. They have to seriously train their staff on how to prepared coffee drinks.

Visited to try a chocolate croissant in the afternoon and was disappointed by the experience. The croissant came cracked and cold and biting into the hard bars of chocolate was not very enjoyable. It would have been much better warmed up but I'm not sure if that was an option. The main reason for the low rating is the service - this is my first time visiting and I wasn't sure how things worked. Several of the staff looked at me and ignored me until one of them finally asked what I wanted. The interaction was incredibly brief and it felt like I was bothering them by buying a pastry. The interior of the place is clean and prices are fair, but due to how unwelcomed I felt, I do not plan on returning in the future.

First time here and loved my almond croissant and iced chai latte. Tucked away location, so not too busy on a cloudy Sunday morning. Really nice dine-in area. Will definitely return!

It's so nice to finally have a French bakery in Boston. I still miss Cafe Madeleine. The boulangerie is gorgeous located next to Marseille. Of the three I purchased the pain aux raisin is the star just like what you get in France. The pain sui saw is massive - it's a chocolate croissant with a custard filling. It's delicious. The plain croissant is OK. I'll be back for the fancy French patisserie - the eclair the opera and bringing my Parisian friend to try out.

Inconsistent results on drinks. Sometimes the coffee is good, somedays like water. Sandwiches are terrible. Baked goods are so-so. Staff is not knowledgeable- there might be one person who can answer your question. Overall a tremendous downgrade from the previous cafe and employees. Place does look cute but food and service don't measure up at all. I've been here a few times because I work in the building.

Tucked away in the office building next to Marseille, PRB Boulangerie has a small outpost here. Love the Somerville location so was eager to try.Service was friendly and cafe au lait was very good, but the croissant was dense and bready inside instead of flaky. Perhaps they’re still ironing out some kinks on the bakery side.Aside from baked goods, the rest of the menu includes panini sandwiches (weekday only) and a very limited selection of two types of breakfast croissant on the weekends.Sitting area is very nice and would be a good spot for a work/networking coffee during the week. They also sell an assortment of French pantry goods like chips, jams, and even bubble bath.

Fantastic croissants and baked goods, tasty sandwiches and salads and coffee. The South End needs a place like this, especially since Cafe Madeleine closed. This cafe fills the void, and then some. We have Tatte's, but I find while their baked goods look amazing, they only taste average. PRB Boulangerie delivers both beautiful and delicious treats. Possibly the best almond croissant I've ever had.

Grabbed a caprese sandwich on a ficelle today! Very delicious and fresh. Great little sandwich and pastry option in the SOWA area. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Opening day today. We arrived shortly after 8 AM and had pain au chocolates and feta and spinach quiches. Both were excellent. So looking forward to trying more!

The pastry’s were good but the milk in the coffe was scorched ruining the coffee. The reason I am giving them 5 stars is because it was their first day opening. And I have since gone back and gotten a good coffee hear.
