There are not many places that serve Beef Wellington year-round, but you can find that at Ramsay’s anytime. Our server told us it’s their bestseller and, judging by the number of tables ordering that dish, it is indeed very popular. Of course, we had to try it and it didn’t disappoint. In fact, everything we had was prepared well and predictably good, in a textbook sort of way . If you’re looking for cuisine that pushes the boundaries, you won’t find that here. But for classics done right, you will most certainly find that here at Ramsay’s, all served up in a swanky, upscale environment.

Overpriced, overhyped fare. The service seemed overworked and very inattentive to most everyone. Decent...but very disappointing. Went to one in Edinburgh as well..... sadly same story. Beef Wellington was overcooked in Edinburgh. Beyond well done.

We went yesterday for my mother’s birthday, and it was very underwhelming. I should’ve listened to the reviews of people saying this place was overrated. My family was thirsty, but the cups had a disgusting unclean smell. So we backed off on that. Once we ordered starters, everything was miniature. The potato gratin was probably the best thing we ate, but it wasn’t wow. We also
got the mac and cheese, and it was bland and gross. As a chef who calls people out for being bland, I am disappointed. As for entrees, we ordered 2 beef wellingtons, 2 shrimp lobster spaghettis. We were all so underwhelmed with everything, especially the beef wellingtons. It was so underwhelming and we were so excited to try it, and we were disappointed. As for the shrimp lobster spaghetti, it was a solid 6/10, wish it was saucier and had more lobster, for almost $40 I expected more than 3 shrimp and tiny bits of lobster. As for the desserts, we asked our waiter to write happy birthday on the desserts, and it did not come with writing or a candle. But we had notified the hostess and waiter. We saw the waiter then appeared with a candle, but it was very weird since somebody had brought our desserts already. Very weird? For paying $300+ it was SO underwhelming. Spend your money somewhere else. It was a poor experience, and you’re only paying for the name.

This restaurant will upset you, only because for the rest of your life every other restaurant will be sub-par in comparison. The food was impeccable but so was the staff and service. Particularly wanted to give a shout out to our waiter Theodore, he gave great and honest advice about the menu and took into account our favorite flavor pallets. Give that man a raise Gordon!! 😊

Excellent food, great service, and a good selection of wine and cocktails. Please take care of parking well in advance, as the traffic situation can become tricky! [Tip: Check SpotHero for nearby parking discounts; parking in Prudential is not a great choice since other spots are much cheaper.]

We warned about a nut allergy and that person still ended up being exposed.

This place is absolutely over rated. Food is not what it’s lived up to be. The atmosphere is not really the best. If you love wine, forget it not best option on wines there. Food has no taste, Mac n cheese no taste, the beef Wellington was awful. I was extremely excited to try the “Ramsay” known “best chef” restaurant and I can absolutely say I was disappointed. Only thing that was taking reservations for Christmas now I know why. I hope Ramsay fixes the food, atmosphere and service.

After a 2.5-year break, I decided to revisit RK this week. Unfortunately, while the atmosphere remains as charming as ever—impeccably decorated with warm, welcoming staff and a hovering sommelier—the overall dining experience fell significantly short of expectations.

The food, once a hallmark of excellence, has noticeably declined, while prices have escalated dramatically. My $72 Beef Wellington, which I had looked forward to, was disappointing. The pastry was dry and detached from the meat, and there was a sparse amount of mushroom duxelles. Notably, the crepe and prosciutto layer that traditionally serves as the heart of the dish was entirely absent, leaving the Wellington tasting flat and lacking the finesse one would expect at this price point.

My partner ordered a filet mignon cooked medium-rare, but it arrived well-done. After sending the steak back for correction, the second attempt arrived medium, which, while an improvement, still missed the mark. It was evident that whoever was overseeing the kitchen operations that night lacked a clear understanding of how to properly prepare a medium-rare steak.

I couldn’t help but wonder about the level of oversight in the kitchen that evening, especially given the reputation the restaurant once held. The food served that night was far below the standards I had come to associate with this establishment, and it was a genuine disappointment to witness the decline.

It’s disheartening to think that, under the current circumstances, even Chef Ramsay would be hard-pressed to recognize the quality of the food at his own Boston restaurant. I sincerely hope that RK can address these issues and return to its former culinary excellence.

Great service and ambiance. STOP hovering at tables with the busser minions and multiple managers everywhere.. it’s too much. Underwhelmed in a way. Not honoring the great Gordon Ramsay’s name. Salads great but tiny and nothing special. Entrees good and well portioned but they may have bought rotisserie chickens already prepared for the roasted chicken dish? Pot de Creme was definitely instant chocolate pudding or out of a #10 can. Nothing homemade about the pudding and it cost $17!
