Reelhouse is worth a visit if you’re looking for a great view of the Boston skyline — the location really delivers on that. I went on a Wednesday evening, so it wasn’t too crowded, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I was also pleasantly surprised by how good the clam chowder was. I’d be happy to return if I’m in the area. I was able to find street parking, but depending on the time, it could be a challenge.
The view is beautiful. However as others have mentioned service and food was not. Our waitress went missing most of the time. We choose to finish appetizers and leave unfortunately.
I’m rating primarily on food because that’s where the cost comes from. Our server was engaged, kind, and prompt. The atmosphere was delightful and I’m grateful we were seated outside because it was loud inside.
But the food…I ordered the lobster bisque - flavorless. I was so disappointed. I had to add like a teaspoon of salt. The truffle fries we ordered were also underseasoned and came with ketchup compared to an aioli, which was a weird choice for the flavor...
