The best gelato ever! I highly recommend this place (and if you go on a warm day I suggest the Ferrero Rocher gelato). Nice service and the place is very clean and comfy!! They also have good interior music.

A friend suggested this place as a meeting point as he knew I'd have my three young kids with me. Great suggestion! This is ice cream fantasy land for kids (and adults) - wide variety of flavors...all the original standards (choc, vanilla, strawberry, etc) plus a fabulous selection of fun blended flavors. They also have all the toppings to jazz it up. I also had a latte and was really happy with the flavor. Bathroom was clean. The space was clean. Prices were very reasonable. Guy behind the counter (couldn't tell if he was owner) was super-friendly, and took care of us wonderfully when one of my kids had 'a change of heart'. Enjoyed our visit and will be back!

The gelato was only okay. It had a sticky almost gloppy texture, but the serving size was good (not too big or too small). I think Morano Gelato would be more worthwhile to visit for gelato though.

We arrived here last week with a groupon on hand to order some pastries, coffees, and possibly a scoop of gelato. The coupon has no specifics, it just says that it is for pastries, gelato and coffee so it sounded perfect! (We thought) THE POSITIVE: - The store manager was extremely friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed meeting him! - The small slice of lemon mascarpone cake was very good even if small. THE NEGATIVE: -We were pretty disappointed, we arrived right when they opened and the pastries (only had two kinds) looked old and definitely didn't look locally baked or homemade. Truthfully they looked like they were from stop-and-shop -We ordered lattes and upon trying to pay for them with our groupon we were informed that they weren't considered coffee just 'espresso drinks' so the groupon couldn't be used for them. Strange, would have been helpful if listed on the groupon. (Again the manager was so sweet and just wasn't allowed to do it, per the shop owner's requests.) - Sorry, the lattes were fine but not great, for a place touting amazing espresso it was just ok. - the peanut butter cup cake we had to order since it was considered a pastry was so cloyingly sweet that it made us feel ill (this may have been because it was too early to eat cake) but nonetheless it wasn't great. - Blended gelato drinks (although the same price or less than the scooped gelato) also weren't included with the groupon. Again not specified on the coupon. - we tasted some of the gelato flavours and we were not very impressed, their signature strawberry milk chocolate flavour is very sweet but it pretty good. The texture of the gelato is quite a bit more icy and light tasting then what I am used to with gelato. I LOVE gelato, LOVE IT, but this gelato wasn't great. Lovely little shop, the manager is AMAZING but the owner was quite deceptive with the coupon and I didn't find the products to be that of very high quality.

For the longest time, I had been wondering if there were ANY ice cream / gelato places in West Roxbury. Friendly's and IScreamWorks both closed up shop, and for a while the only place nearby was JP Licks on the VFW Pkwy in Chestnut Hill or at Legacy Place. Finally, Ria Cafe has opened. Ironically they have been open for almost a year...... the reason that not many (including myself) have not noticed it is because of location. It's located on Bellevue Street right off Centre Street, but not too visible from Centre Street and doesn't have a fixed sign, directing customers. Additionally, there isn't many reviews here on Yelp and there isn't a website. Anyway, I came it to check it out, after finding it here on Yelp. Gelato is very good (4 stars), delicious, flavorful, and reasonably-priced, but doesn't seem as gourmet as Morano Gelato at the Chestnut Hill Mall. The interior of the spot is adorable, seats lining the large window, while have a small, cozy, hometown vibe. Parking is available lining Bellevue or Centre Street as well (which I had no trouble with, whatsoever). And, additionally, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Overall, great stop for gelato and I'll be back to purchase some of the baked goods. 5 stars.

This cafe is great! I take my Girls here for daddy dates because they have lots of deserts and a fun atmosphere. We actually got a free desert just for checking in on social media! Love it.
