Great food, great service. Lively atmosphere. Maybe a tad loud. We had a nice evening and we will go back.
We had a wonderful birthday lunch for my wife. Service was excellent and food delicious - it's nice to be on North St too as Hanover can be crowded
Lovely little restaurant great service and knowable staff . Nice fresh food and good portion sizes
We had a party of 10 on a Saturday night, tough task but Riccardo's did a fantastic job through communicating as the table was being prepared and then outdid themselves through their service, energy and humor. The food was excellent and everyone had a great time. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and top notch. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Celebrated daughter's 25th birthday. Everything was great. One dinner was served undercooked but the staff graciously resolved the issue immediately. Had an evening. Food was great ultimately.
I took my niece to Riccardo's for a birthday dinner. It was excellent all around. Our waiter was fantastic food was delicious the atmosphere was great. Will definitely be coming back again.
Fabulous dinner. Meatball app with cheese was a hit for the table. Veal Chop and Haddock was delicious. Portions are huge. Service was spot on. Definitely will be back in a few weeks
Made us wait outside for 30 minutes after our reservation time before seating us, which caused us to rush through dinner and almost miss our plans for the rest of the evening. The food was very meh. Raw Salmon and Lamb. Fettuccine Alfredo was very bland. I will not be coming back and I would look at other amazing options in the North End over Riccardo's.
We had an awesome night celebrating our son's 21st birthday with close friends. The space was perfect for our group of 10! Our wonderful server guided us towards dishes for this larger group that were perfect. We would highly recommend Riccardo's for an authentic North End experience.
Loved the chaotic atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The haddock was lightly breaded but mushy. The mussels in the seafood dish, were tough and fishy.
Restaurantji Recommends
The food was okay - nothing stellar and only two entrees were actually good in our opinion. The sauces didn't have much flavor, the gnocchi was overcooked. We did like the risotto and ravioli. The service was slow and honestly our main server was a bit rude. The shrimp entree looked like they had just dumped everything on our plate and there was liquid dripping the side of the plate that we received. When we asked our server whether this was the correct presentation he said yes ... disappointing and would not recommend.
We had a reservation at 8:30. When we walked in it was super busy....I get it. But the guy at the front was kind of rude. I said I have a reservation for 8:30. He said “well good luck”. It took about an hour a half for our food and was super loud. The waiter was nice. He apologized a couple of times and told us he felt bad. Food was ok.
The food was very mediocre. We were looking forward to a nice meal in the north end with authentic Italian food. The food was fairly tasteless, the pasta was overcooked, the gnocchi was dry and chewy, and a dish ordered that was cooked in a madeira sauce was literally shrimp dropped in madeira with no reduction, ruining the flavor of the shrimp. To top that off, we were seated a full 45 minutes after our reservation time.
The food and service never disappoints! Brought our daughter and her friends here and they plan to make it a regular stop during college semesters. LOL.
Our waitor was absolutely amazing !! Made amazing recommendations and kept the wine flowing !
