Came with 3 of my friends to try and grab a quick meal before we went out. It was so much fun, the wait staff was extremely nice and funny. The meal portions are huge - us three split 1 pasta and two apps which was plenty of food. At the end of the night there were a musical pair coming around to serenade tables. 100% going back!!!

The wine was good, Cesar salad-good. Eggplant Parmigiana thick cut and under cooked-tough. The accordion player and vocalist were nice touches. Just bring cash for a tip. The others like their food. So many choices in the North End, so I won't be back soon.

Great vibes and great food. I went to Riccardo’s Ristorante for my birthday. On my sister's recommendation, my friends and I ventured in, and I can say, she was spot on. The claim of being the best authentic Italian spot in Boston is no exaggeration.I tried Gnocchi alla Sorrentina and the taste took me right back to Rome, bringing back memories and culinary nostalgia. The flavors were just impeccable. However, it's worth noting that popularity comes at a price - the restaurant can get quite crowded. So, I recommend booking a reservation.

An absolutely fantastic experience. Great service, wonderful wine & drink selection, and the menu options were varied for any palette. The homemade ricotta stuffed meatballs, bread, and seafood fra diavlo were one of the best meals I have ever had. My wife loved the gnocchi and split some tiramisu with me which she loved. We had such a great experience we're coming back in two weeks when we're passing through Boston again. You will not leave hungry or unhappy.

Probably the best veal chop I've ever had, it was absolutely cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Waiter was super nice and provided great service. This was our first time to Boston and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant.

I ordered the Lobster ravioli which was wonderful. The gentlemen playing the accordion was great. My only complaint was that the espresso martinis are already pre-made. Tommy was awesome though! I will definately be back soon!

Always a wonderful experience! Warm and welcoming atmosphere, incredible food and just a fantastic place! Less costly than most places in the North End but more than worth every penny.

If you want a real Italian experience, this is it!!! We brought family from Europe and they loved it! The service was excellent. Appetizers and main course were timed well. The wine list was extensive; we had a very good Italian Valpolicella We were entertained by a sweet accordion player and an awesome opera singer. We will go again on a date night!

Really very good and close to traditional Italian cuisine. And I know something about it. One of the few in the United States that moved me and left something. Thank you Michael for a wonderful evening.

Went here on a Thursday while in town for my daughter’s volleyball tournament, there were 12 of us. The drink selection was not great, not a full bar (more mixes and flavored spirits), but that's OK, I had wine. Our waiter was great, not sure his name, but he wrote nothing down, and I want to say he got everything correct. He was attentive, and items arrived timely. Now for the bad part. While we waited for our food, an older gentlemen came around playing the accordion, which was a very nice touch, followed by a young man singing very Italian songs, felt like the wedding scene from The Godfather. It was sort of Karaoke-ish, he walked around with a wireless mic with a little speaker on the bar, but he had an amazing voice. If it had stopped there, I may have added a star for atmosphere. But, once they were done 'performing', they proceeded to walk around to each table with a bucket for money, and had a sign with a QR code so you could Venmo (no cash, no problem). VERY low class. We felt pressured to donate, and it interrupted our conversations. If this is their thing, and they do this regularly, that’s fine, it is not my thing. If I’m paying a premium for a great meal and great food, that sort of entertainment would just be part of the experience. As for the food, I was expecting a knock my socks off, old school Italian meal, and I was disappointed. I had the Chicken Exquisito, and it was ok. Sort of bland, presentation was poor, I did not savor every bite. My son had Chicken Parm, sauce was very bland and watery, pasta might have been out of a box? Sounds like this place used to have a great reputation, with previous owners, and I think that is why someone suggested it. I am not in Boston ever, and if we go back next year, we will not be going to Riccardos.

Food: Hit and miss on the dishes here. The shrimp cocktail was really really, I mean really bad and dry and the cocktail sauce was pretty disgusting over the wilted salad (worse than the worse of frozen supermarket cocktail shrimps). The grilled octopus appetizer was fair, but again the salad that it was placed on was a less than average tasting placeholder and ruined the whole dish for me. The Linguini alla Vongole (clams) was very good in all aspects from texture to the white wine garlic seafood flavor, but it could use some salt still. Drink (pistachios Martini) was kinda pricy and was too sweet.Service: Quick, friendly, and attentive. No complaints here!Atmosphere: A very family friendly restaurant with many kids (which might be a minus for some, but I don't mind) because they can reserve ahead. It's a nice romantic place as well. Not the most fashionable and chic place in North End, but it has the old world charm. Restroom facilities can use some fixing and cleaning, a bit grossed out.Overall, I probably will not come back or recommend, given there are many other competitions in North End to try.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids here!

The prizes on OpenTable are out of date. For example, gnocchi are listed at $17 but it was $26 at the restaurant. The food was good, but cappuccino was serviced without milk, just as double espresso. The services was good overall, pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff.

From the moment we walked in, our experience was over the top!! The food and service exceeded all expectations! We will definitely be back, and I will highly recommend this restaurant to people as my favorite in the North End!
