Food options were about average for this type of museum cafe. Definitely look past the bottled drinks as they have cheaper fountain options you get at the register.

Food is cooked well and price quite reasonable. Makes me feel the cafe is not here to make money off us but to provide convenience.

The lady working at river view cafe on June 21, 2024 at 3:30pm was really rude. I don’t understand when people that work in service type jobs are very rude like this. You don’t like people? Ask for a back office job.

Went on a family outing to the MOS and fell in love with it! So wonderful! And that cafeteria is just top notch. Me and the kids particularly loved the maho tacos and the plantains with fries. Surprisingly good for picky eaters!
All glowing reviews, except from my meemaw, she said everything tasted like soap. Don't trust meemaw, she always has something to say. And has been known to eat soap (thankfully, the museum bathrooms were very clean). I think the museum uses some form of bulk antibacterial Softsoap®, judging by what meemaw ate when she used the can.
I will be back and hope to have these items again, however I will be leaving meemaw and her ramshackle opinions at home. I don't need to hear how she could have won the Battle of Little Big Horn with nothing but a pack of Marlboros and a Hoodsie Cup spoon!!!
Vegetarian options: The soap in the bathroom is vegan, my meemaw is very discerning in her taste.
Parking: Left the car on 93, no way I'm driving on surface streets.

The yuca fries and plantains I had with the mahi mahi tacos on Monday were out of this world! Only 4 stars though because the redhead who made my tacos didn't give me extra guac when I asked for it and there were so many screaming children, terrible atmosphere.

Worst and expensive food available for the museum visitors.

Overcrowded and overpriced. Pizza even a 9 year old wouldn't eat. Four or five dining options but only 2 cashier lines. Food cold by the time you get to eat (if you can find a table) and so incredibly loud. Would bring sandwiches next time and eat quietly in a corner.

Wow. This place makes other museum cafes look pretty bad. The food is legitimately good. Like, would go to eat here even if I wasn't visiting the museum good. Prices are reasonable, which was a total shock. And, you can sit where you have a beautiful view of the river. Surprisingly wonderful experience when we needed something to eat when visiting the museum.
We were able to get milk here for my daughter so she was happy.
The WORST location to get Starbuck from. Customer service is at the bottom. I asked for a Caramel Frappuccino without the whip cream and extra Caramel. When my order come out, it still have whip cream and little to nothing with Caramel Frizzell.
