Attentive, but overly familiar service overshadowed an okay meal:
Food was okay and service was attentive, but a few moments came across as disrespectful. When my friend arrived and greeted me, he sat down and asked if I was ready to order as the server came over. Before I could answer, the server responded for me—“He hasn’t looked at his menu; I’ve been watching him.” Later, after my friend and I went back and forth on who would take the check (in a completely unserious way, I might add), my friend gestured to the server that he’d pay. The server, who knew my friend from past interactions, told me, “I’ll listen to him when he speaks,” and deferred to him. I replied, “Am I not sitting right here?”—the comment came across as disrespectful. He may have been trying to be personable, but it came across as somewhat awkward for me and overly familiar, making the overall experience a bit more uncomfortable than it should have been — thus overshadowing an otherwise okay meal.

I used to like this place. Now it’s dirty everywhere, the tables are surround by flies that jump in your food. Forks and utensils were dirty too. It’s sad.

I’ve been coming here since 2018 and has become my go-to for brunch throughout the years. We come here for the food and the good vibes. I’ve had the pleasure of having the same waiter, Elijah, every time I come in and he makes the experience pleasant and fun. Other than the food, he’s the reason we keep coming back! If you’re thinking of finding a staple brunch place to take your friends and family, definitely bring them to JPizzle. Delightful little spot that serves all day brunch and tapas with Colombian influences. The service was absolutely amazing and we really enjoyed the selection of food we ordered. Definitely worth stopping by for a bite (or several).

I had the chicken and waffles with a side of avocado. The chicken was dry and overcooked, the belgium waffle wasnt crispy or light and airy like you'd expect from a belgium waffle. Had a passionfruit mimosa with coconut rum that was awesome. Service was slow at first especially because there werent many customers and we were outside. After our order was taken, our food came out timely. The server was friendly and knowledgeable.
