We had such a great experience here! We made a reservation for 8 and ended up adding one more person last minute — they were super accommodating and didn't make it feel like a hassle at all. We also had two kids with us, which can sometimes make dining out a little stressful, but everything went smoothly. The portions were generous (definitely come hungry), the prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. You can truly tell the seafood is high quality. Maro was our server and remembered us from our last visit, which made the experience feel even more personal. He was attentive, patient, and handled our bigger group, the kids, and our multiple requests with ease and professionalism. Overall, amazing food, great value, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

Sea food selections were excellent and plentyful. Fish was well prepared and portions were generous. The wait time wasn't too bad even on Valentine's day. Line seemed long but moved quickly as they turned over tables. Seating in the kitchen area was a bit loud so not really a quiet sit-down dinner. Staff was friendly and attentive. Overall we enjoyed the experience and will definitely return as the food was excellent.

The very best seafood & fish prepared anywhere. It is truly remarkable. Crazy large portions of deliciousness stylishly presented. Even the vegetables & rice sides were out of this world. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. Service, however... was sketchy, at best. Things started out really well but then crashed & burned. No check back after entrees were served. My glass of wine was served after I was finished eating. At that point, we were left for dead. No collection of empty plates. 15 mins went by. I finally went to the server station to get carryout containers for us. Then I went back to the same station and helped myself to a carryout bag. As we were stepping away from the table, the server came by to ask if we wanted dessert. No, we were leaving. It was 48° and partly sunny that day, highly unusual for mid-February. We were seated in the nearly full solarium, and it was hot inside. With the heat at the front door blowing heated air into the whole establishment and the sun with the crowd of diners, it had to be 85° inside. It was so uncomfortable. No one had the sense to adjust the interior conditions to the weather. Am in Des Plaines 5-6 times per year. Bleak options.

My son picked this restaurant to celebrate completing his masters. We enjoyed the saganaki and a Greek salad as our appetizers. we had the octopus special and Seabass special. both were tasty and enough food for two meals. Lobster roll and grouper sandwich were big enough to share. Our waiter seemed to be more interested in the basketball game than our table.

Food was outstanding. a group of us went for lunch. We ordered from the dinner menu. So much food! Swordfish cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back.

This was one of many return trips to this most unusual and consistently excellent restaurant. Attached to a major seafood warehouse, the Boston Fishmarket is a casual dining experience. The selection of extremely fresh fish and seafood options is encyclopedic in number and can be prepared in a variety of ways. The portions are enormous and definitely shareable. Each dish we ordered was excellent! For those in your group who would prefer alternatives to fish options, there are beef and lamb items on the menu. This is a place for gret food!

Place was crowded, initially didn't have a table, but then sat us at a table, which was on top of another table for 6, whe they came we were forced to move over and basically had to eat on top of each other awful, we ordered an appetizer of Museels in white sauce, it was plentful and for $25.00 it should be, however, the sauce had green peppers in it and it tasted awful, not sure what Peppers have to do with mussels, we then ordered a Fisherman's platter to shere, $82.00, when it arrived I quicly realixed that this was not goinf to be good, he had a ton of cheap Lake Perch and Mahi Mahi, which tasted awful, it also had some shrimp and scallops, which were not cooked, had to send it back, when it finally cameback at least it was cooked, no apologies from anyone, they couldn't wait to get us out of there, we left most of the food on the plate, total bill was $182.00 plus tip! for that price we could have eaten at a real restaurant that appreciates customers!

First of all the cashier told us ti find table for ourselves, cold and chewy bread was served after 20 minutes after we sit ourselves . We ordered tea and coffee but the coffee was not served, the food was ok, ribeye was dry . The waiter never stop to ask if we need anything or if everything was ok ( coffee was forgotten completely). We had to get ourselves a box for our left over, because the waiter did not came back to us although he was serving 2 tables next to us. We could not wait for him so we checked out ourselves. Parking was very bad!

We got two lobster dishes one was 60 and the other was 75 it was a tiny lobster and the taste with the pasta was subpar . The fried calamari and shrimp were good but you only get like 6 shrimp the rest calamari. You pay a lot of money you should get equal amount . Spent over 300 dollars was not worth it this time around very dissatisfied sorry .

The food portions here are huge, the service was excellent (we were one of 4 filled tables on a cold Tuesday evening), and the food tasted great. We had the Greek Salad, Blue Crab Appetizer, 2 Lobster Tail dinners, the big Sea Food Pasta dinner split among the 3 of us, Coconut Cake, and Chocolate Cake. We had a great time here.

We visit Boston Seafood often. The food and service are outstanding. We visited with a group of six and everyone was happy with the food. We also buy from the fish counter to prepare at home. The selection is wonderful.

Their food is delicious, large portions ! The tables at the Des Plaines location are very close together, my chair was directly up against another chair at a table behind me! Great selection! Very fresh fish! Huge shrimp!
