Been eating ice cream from Rons for 30 years. It's always been the best around! But I just had my first disappointment. The cookie dough ice cream I got had barely any cookie dough in it, seemed like I was eating plain vanilla ice cream. Years ago there use to be big chucks of cookie dough in every bite you take. Definitely a little disappointment.

Great fun to bowl with my son and grandchildren on Father's Day! And getting an ice cream after we finished was an extra treat!

Great ice-cream. Lovely staff can be a little crowded on the weekends. Overall great place to do bowling with the little one while enjoying something sweet.

Great local place!!! Small Business, family owned. Nice for candlepin bowling, pizza, coffee, beer, and fabulous for birthday parties!!!! Highly recommend!!

No frills candle pin bowling alley with a restaurant with several tables! Went to a birthday party there! I parked out back, but I think you need to park across the street in the municipal lot.

Absolutely the best ice cream around.

I usually frequent this place all year long for icecream but more so in the summer time. They have the best flavors especially the Kahlua oreo cookie(limited). The prices seem to go up 25cents almost every year maybe even twice a year though. That cup size remains the same too.

This is in my opinion MY best place to order ice cream. The HYDE PARK location to be precise. I come here all the time. Yesterday was different. The little ice cream server boys had been taking orders. About two of them kept talking to young ladies that came to order after us not paying attention to my sisters and I. As I said before I come here all the time so I know the servers faces. The young boy with the brown turban or scarf on his head caught an attitude with me and was extremely rude…muttering under his breath like a damn child because he failed to cover our cups of ice cream. He said he THOUGHT we were eating in. Like he even asked which he never did. He was chatting throughout with younger customers …he didn’t care. And when he caught that attitude he carelessly took out the spoons making a whole mess, covered the cups and just gave it back to us. We all were too stunned and disgusted. I laughed about it but I was pissed. I wanted a whole new cup that he hadn’t touched but I didn’t want to make a scene so we left. Honestly, I’m still a bit mad because I didn’t deserve that reaction. Every time I come the my cup is always covered. But last night was a disaster. And the same server doesn’t serve the ice cream properly. He fills in cups and half’s cups. He doesn’t maintain the same servings for the different sizes. How is he allowed to fill up up some and not fill up others. His customer service skills are hitting the dirt ground. And if he sees this review: “Son, you need to learn manners and etiquette. Not everyone is collected. Be rude to the wrong person and it might be something else. Pay close attention at your job”.

Ron' s is still my favorite ice cream parlor. Their oreo ice cream is the best I ever tasted. The Brookie Dough flavor tastes like something a grandma from a fairy tale would make.

Heard good things about Ron's and it didn't disappoint! The brookie dough is EXACTLY my type of ice cream, absolutely amazing. Also the employee was super nice & patient while I decided among the many options. Great spot all around!

I have been a big fan of Ron’s ice cream dating back to when I lived in MA in the 1990’s. When I moved back at the end of 2020, I was excited to be able to return to Ron’s! Unfortunately COVID (and perhaps too much ice cream) led to a significant weight gain, and I decided in August to focus on losing weight to improve my overall health — and stayed away from ice cream. Between April and August I lost over 50lbs, and I brought Ron’s ice cream back into my life, and it’s as good as ever. My favorite flavor is Brookie Dough, and I recently “created” a Cherry Vanilla/Chocolate Chip milkshake (extra thick, of course), and I may or may not have gotten one from both Hyde Park AND Dedham last Friday evening/night!! I recommended adding a Cherry Vanilla Chocolate Chip flavor!
