Ran out of Bloody Mary mix during Sunday brunch at 10am. Understand that to be a stole cocktail mix so our party was disappointed with limited selection after multiple drink options were eliminated due to the lack of ingredients. Small menu so there were limited choices but the food was good. Service was a little slow but nothing unreasonable

The staff was very friendly, but they made a couple mistakes with our order. Food was flavorful and good portion size. Very relaxed environment.

Honestly, I expected so much from this place between other reviews and the ambiance when you walk in. It was gorgeously decorated for the holidays, had cozy seating and lighting. We ordered calamari which was very good and a drink that was okay. However, when ordering, our waitress seemed surprised at what they had on their menu. We repeated ourselves multiple times and she had to come back and ask again. Our food came out and it was some of the worst food I have ever had. It had zero flavor and I think they left the past water in the dish. Even covering it in pepper, there was no fixing it. And we spent $150 to leave 80% of the food on the plate. Absolutely do not recommend wasting your time or money here.

As a local, I’m loving this place as a new addition—even being inside the Canopy Hotel. The hotel itself is gorgeous, and the restaurant is straight-up delicious.

I am a hotel guest and my experience was average. The food overall was not bad, but we ordered two well-done sirloin steaks and the meat was extremely tough. It was so hard that my mother ended up with gum pain from chewing it.

The waitress was good at the beginning, but after leaving the check, she never returned. Dirty plates stayed on the table for over 15 minutes, and another staff member had to clear them.

At breakfast, the coffee did not taste like coffee at all, and I did not appreciate being served bread already topped with butter without being asked about allergies or preferences.

Overall, average service and very average food for what is expected

We came here for a birthday with a group of 9. No one took our drink order for 15 minutes. Our drinks didn't come to the table for another 40 minutes. Our waiter was nowhere to be found. When we asked the bartender the status of our drinks, we got some attitude. We never even ordered food because an hour in, no one had come to take our food order. As soon as we got the drinks we got the check and went next door to Gordon Ramsey's Burger Bar and had a great experience.

Menus is nothing great... place wasn't packed but it took FOREVER to get a drink and this was at an 11 am brunch. For some reason the bar tender had to have the manager make my essprso martini. He did about 6 laps back and forth across the restaurant before he even started making my drink and that took almost 10 min its self. Good wasn't anything to brag about by any means. I wouldn't come here again there is a hundred better places only reason we came was cuz it was open on Thanksgiving morning

Hadn't heard of this restaurant until I came across it on OpenTable. The menu looked great so we gave it a shot. Also didn't know it was in a hotel until we looked up directions. We were all pleasantly surprised by the delicious meal! The buttery cod was exceptional. Cocktails very tasty. The flourless chocolate cake was good but kind of dense (not in a fudgy way). Service was lovely. It does have a strange hotel vibe, as the setting is out in the open on the 2nd floor, but the bar was hopping and the place was quite festive. Will return!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception at Canopy Downtown Boston’s restaurant, The Rose, and it was everything we could have dreamed of! The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect—the dancing space, open bar, and food were all incredible. The ambiance and space were truly one of a kind; there’s nothing like overlooking the Greenway and the North End of Boston. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! Everyone was dazzled but the location, too!

Chef Gary is phenomenal. We asked if he could make arancini as an appetizer—a nod to our first date—even though it wasn’t on the menu, and he made it happen. They were such a special and delicious touch. Carol, the wedding coordinator, was attentive from nearly a year out and made the entire planning process so smooth. When she was unavailable, Jamie stepped in seamlessly and always with a smile. And Remy greeted us cheerfully every time we stopped by to review details. This team MADE OUR DAY. Without them and there work it simply wouldn’t have been the fantastic and flawless day it was.

The whole team truly leads with servant hearts, filling the day with joy and kindness. We can’t recommend The Rose at Canopy Downtown Boston enough for the most magical wedding celebration!

Decent avocado toast with a hint of spice for breakfast. Drip coffee was lukewarm and somewhat watered down. Table seating was full but the bar was open. Service was quick but they kept trying to give the plates to the wrong people. Ate here because I had a food credit with the hotel; there are better places for breakfast in the neighborhood.

I cannot speak to the food but the service was non existent. Was one of maybe 12 tables with 4 staff members present. No one spoke to us for a good 20 minutes. No water no coffee no order. Not even acknowledged.

Very slow, with no updates from the wait staff. The $25 Cobb salad arrived without several of the listed ingredients. Pizza was doughy and underwhelming.

We had a pretty awful experience here. I'm really not sure what was going on, but there as some kind of issue in the kitchen and no one's food was coming out. The staff was pleasant and trying their best with the situation. We ended up here with our kids because it was an easy option, but 2 hours later I was begging for bread because they were so hungry.

The fact that the place was empty at peak brunch time was already indicative of what we were in for. The floor was dirty. I ordered a BLT. The bacon had been cooked for two days, so hard and dry that I hurt my teeth when I ate it. The fries tasted stale, possibly because they don't change the oil. Truly disappointing and mediocre considering the simple food. If you can't make even the basics, then there's a big problem. It's not worth the price of the food.
