It was a lovely lunch for our very large group. The staff was wonderful and the food top notch
Everything was amazing! The oysters, the lobster rolls (both hot and cold), and the monkfish were all solid choices. Recommend this place in a heartbeat!
We had booked a reservation for dinner and had noted that we would be dining with the stroller as we've just flown back home from Europe and our baby was sleeping and this was our time to eat dinner. We have a 10 month old baby that has dined at this restaurant IN his stroller probably once a month... that often. And it had never been an issue with or without a reservation. The fact I noted it in the reservation, showed up, and was met with a nasty attitude is disappointing. And not the service anyone with kids or a sleeping baby in their stroller should have to be welcomed to while dining at an above average seafood restaurant. The host was extremely difficult, inadequate and not experienced in the service industry. We opened the door and she literally gave us the nastiest look and was super rude to us. She told us she had us booked in at a high top and that it was super busy (it was not) and that they didn't think they could accommodate the reservation with the stroller. Again, it had never been an issue ever before. Then she tried to move us outside (it was raining and high winds that you could feel through their outdoor cover) and we said no. Our reservation note was clear and she seemed so confused and had no solution to the false issue she created. She just kept saying she didn't know what to do but she didn't think it was allowed to let us have the stroller next to our table.... It was bizarre and it felt discriminative to dining in with a baby. We ended up having someone else seat us and it was fine that we had a stroller next to us sitting at the table. We won't be back again given the attitude and how unwelcoming it was. It ruined the whole vibe of our dinner which was the first real meal we had in 32 hours after our long travel back from Europe.
Food was so good! Obsessed with the corn bread. It came in a skillet with a big thing of honey butter on top! Nice atmosphere. Service was just okay but they put up with our crazy kids.
Some of the best seafood i've ever had. We got the warm lobster rolls, Crab artichoke dip, a crab cake and oysters. This meal was delicious and worth every penny, 10/10 recommend if you're in the seaport.
I went there for lunch. I made a reservation, but it was not needed. I ordered the Lobster Roll. It was delicious. It was not served with drawn butter, so I asked for it and that made the sandwich even better. Service was fine, but not spectacular. Again,'it was not that busy. Overall, I would go back especially to see how dinner would be.
Outstanding service, incredible oysters, delightful food. We'll be back every time we visit Boston.
The warm buttered lobster roll was a genuine 10. Best I've ever had. I also tried a variety of oysters, all of which were fresh and delightful. You will not be disappointed with anything at R34!
We're in Boston for the marathon to cheer on my nephew and the other runners. I googled the best restaurants to eat at and Row 34 Boston popped up. Let me say it didn't disappoint. Food, place, service and atmosphere were the best.
The lobster roll with butter is worth every penny. The oysters are so fresh. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean.

I had high expectations of this place due to the online recommendations and high reputation, but left with an overly disappointing experience. If you're looking for a nice looking place with mediocre food and high prices, this is the place. There is a 3.5% kitchen charge that they add to all bills, and it is not considered tip.
The calamari appetizer was pretty good, could be seasoned a bit more, same with their house made chips. The cornbread is large enough to share as a side with probably 2-4 people, and tasted like regular cornbread with a very soft texture. The cold loster roll was decent - no complaints and the apple coleslaw was pretty good, but not worth the large almost $60 price tag. The largest issue was the clame chowder: I get that a New England style clam chowder has pork, but there was literally NO CLAMS or even clam flavor in the soup. It was very strongly a Bacon/sausage chowder with not a single hint of seafood. It didn't taste bad, but for clam chowder, this is definitely not what is advertised on the menu. The hole in the wall and smaller restaurants around Boston can give a much better lobster roll and chowder, for a fraction of the price.
The atmosphere is very bar like, with people yelling to talk. There is no sound damping at all so you cannot hold an ongoing conversation (unless you're telling louder than the whole room). The chairs are metal patio chairs, even inside the dining room, and are very uncomfortable.
I definitely expected more from this place with their prices and online reputation, but I didn't get that at all. Easily the most disappointing meal and experience that I had in my stay here in Boston.

It was a great dining experience at Row 34. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The decor/atmosphere was great.
We had 1 of each oyster, got their creamy lobster roll (there was quite a bit of lobster), fried calamari and the shishito peppers. Food wise, everything was fresh and flavorful. I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce that came with the shishito peppers — it’s just not how I usually have them so it’s really just a preference thing and didn’t really take away from the overall experience.
As the the kid’s meal, our daughter got the fish sticks and initially we thought it’d be like the ones you find in the frozen aisle of your local grocer, but nope! They were actually quite moist and flaky.
Kid-friendliness: Had a decent kids menu which we didn’t even know they had!

I finally had the chance to visit row 34 after i saw this restaurant being in every seafood restaurant list. The Fairhaven oysters were on point and the miso salmon belly was also pretty tasty with smoked notes and great flavor depth. The beer and butter mussels were no different, probably one of the most flavorful steamed mussels I've tried in the area. Now the fried rice with the crab, it was good, but it was just fried rice with some crab in it, it lacked freshness and some garnish on top as the spices were kind of overpowering. Also the tuna melt, despite it was sous vid fresh bluefin tuna, you couldn't really taste the difference, kind of under seasoned and the cherry tomatoes didn't really fit in there. I believe it was just a lunch menu thing, that it was too comfort food for the price, cause i would definitely go back and try the dinner menu. Overall a really good experience on food, spirits and service.
