Saturday night dinner as part of a weekend in Boston while staying in the Boston Harbor Hotel. Impeccable service would be the most note worthy part, from knowing our name from the reservation to the complementary desert for the 60th birthday celebration, it's such a pleasure to dine at an establishment where the wait staff are professionals. The food was solid too. The lobster roll was proclaimed to be one of the best ever eaten, while the duck was in the top 10.
Beautiful aura, beautiful yacht view, service on point, Lobster roll perfect. Adrian was our waiter extraordinaire & he made our dinner experience just delightful ❤️ Thank you Adrian!
Not a huge menu, but what we tried was all delicious. Our server was excellent, and drinks were well made and generous. We were seated by the windows, which was lovely. It was a very quiet Thursday night, but I expect the room is more crowded on weekends.
The service was GREAT. The food on the other hand was disappointing. My soup, while tasty, was lukewarm and my burger was not prepared how I ordered it. My server was great however and wanted to do anything to fix the burger issue. Although I declined she went out of her way to want to make the experience wonderful. Because of that I would eat there again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Birthday My Daughter Will Never Forget The Boston Harbor Hotel is famous for its stunning views and iconic presence—but as a parent planning a special birthday celebration, what touched me most was the extraordinary service and unforgettable culinary experience at the Sea Grille. The staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in, and the food was exceptional. But the real magic came from Executive Pastry Chef Chelsea, whose talent and kindness elevated my daughter's birthday into a memory she will cherish for years. ✨ APPLE CRISP OAT BAR Apple Compote, Coconut–Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (v/gf/nf) Warm, comforting, and beautifully balanced. 🍫 TRIPLE CHOCOLATE CREAM TART Valrhona Chocolate Pastry Cream, Caramelized White Chocolate Crèmeux, Milk Chocolate Mousse Chelsea created a delicate chocolate feather and even wrote my daughter's name and “Happy Birthday” on the plate. Watching my daughter's face light up—it truly meant the world. 🌺 GINGER SPICE TORTE Burnt Cinnamon Meringue, Cranberry Consommé, Poached Cranberry (veg/nf) Elegant, seasonal, and absolutely delicious. As a parent, there's nothing more special than seeing your child feel celebrated. Sea Grille and Chef Chelsea delivered that and more. We will absolutely be back—for the view, yes, but even more for the heart and hospitality that made this birthday unforgettable.
A bright, calm oasis in a busy part of town, with views of the harbor, well spaced tables, comfortable seating. Perfect for business or a quiet hour with one's spouse or family.
Great service, entrees, and atmosphere. However, no orange peel in the old fashioned is a BIG demerit! The poor lego-block desserts were a downer after an overall great meal.

Wow this restaurant has really fallen. I have been here several times over the past five years but the other experiences were all outstanding. We went there last night and other than our party it was essentially empty. I guess everyone else has already figured out they should go elsewhere. The menu looked great, but the portions were small and the food was not flavorful. The wine selection was very limited as well. Our group sat outside but the staff couldn't figure out the heaters so some of us had to move as it was chilly. They have a lot of work to do here...

We dined outside, which was lovely. Ordered the bread and hummus appetizer and entrees, but the entrees arrived before the bread. Server was nowhere to be found, but another server brought us the bread, and there was no charge. The pasta was excellent. The halibut, though tasty, was a very small piece in a bit of corn broth. No sides or anything served with it and our server never mentioned that we might want a side. We miss the old menu that had many more fish options. Though the pasta was excellent, it is called the Sea Grille for a reason.
very bad experience! The waitress did not know what she was doing: A. she was not familiar with the menu: B. She communicates poorly did not verify the orders so that she missed the entry of one of the customers; The food: the fries are crowned with a fancy name, but got loaded all the salt there was. It seemed that $100 out of $144 went to the salt; Busboys: a team of busboys came frequently to sweep the utensils even before the plates were finished, they had to be stopped by instructions; Receptionist: who acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday. but nothing happened. for spending $144 for two in a not so cheap restaurant in a landmark hotel, one would expect with that acknowledgment, there would be some gesture. Manager: who seems to be around and respond to some request. But she never came afterwards for a followup. We probably would not go there again and would advise our friends staying away from the restaurant and the hotel altogether. McDonalds, BurgerKing would be better than this place.
My mother and I had a fabulous time at Sea Grille. It was the perfect place to take her as the noise level was quiet. We had a beautiful view of Boston Harbor. We shared the tomato salad and clam chowder for appetizers. The presentation of my Halibut entree was beautiful with flowers and popcorn. The desserts were beautifully presented, too: carrot cake and blackberry chocolate mousse.
A hidden gem! I did not realize they did breakfast! But it was amazing.. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the ocean! The menu is excellent so it was easy for us to choose our meal. I recommend it if you are in the area.. A pretty view, great view and service!! The server brought me coffee right away!
This is a convenient place to meet up for a special lunch on the way to the airport from the Financial District or South Station. Our lunch was perfect, if pricey.
